So, I have two artists for my fiction. One just finished a commission that is a scene to a specific chapter in my story. The image itself is nsfw but no 18+ nudity. It's more...gore. Am I allowed to post a link to an image such as on imgur at the end of the chapter? If not this image, how about regular artwork posted the same way?

Well look at it this way. Over 50% of my readers quit reading after chapter 1 (meaning less than half views on chapter 2) while this isn't exactly completely accurate, it is when there's that large of a gap and happens on every website I post to. Several comments/reviews on RoyalRoadL mention they don't like the MC i.e. sexual assault on the first chapter and such. So probably characters as they are introduced. I use tropes, yes, and while things may seem typical early on there's one thing I do that tropes don't do is provide actual explanation/reasons why a character is a certain way to some degree. Though those reasons don't come immediately.

As for this website, I have 99 collections. I browsed another thread that mentioned the ratio of view to collection average around 200-250. Which probably isn't true when you consider every single novel, but you know. Still says something. I don't need the collections to tell me what every single website that I've posted to tells me. A steep decrease in views after chapter 1.

Part of the problem might be in the beginning it seems to cater to the op MC crowd, wish fulfillment etc which people that stopped reading in the first chapters have said, it is by no means a OP MC story or wish fulfillment...but by up to date chapter I'd probably have bled all those looking for that type of novel and also didn't keep much of the crowd that looked for something else.

But yeah 290k is a lot. I'm just tired of all the bullshit that I've already heard that basically tells me to rewrite the first 40 chapters or a large amount of editing required which I've already done extensively. I don't expect much. I'm still waiting on a review by StenDuring (which I've seen around in this thread maybe he can relate to this post of why he still hasn't finished reading / writing a review) but I think that he just can't bring himself to read it all, hence no review. Honestly, not surprised. It was on a thread on RRL which offered to read up to the latest chapter. He went through at least 500k words in a relatively fast manner before reaching my story.

The only people who I've ever received detailed input up to the latest chapter or any regular reader feedback at all are some of my stream viewers and/or people who know me in battlerite xd. Most of my reviews on RRL were really from like the first 40 chapters. One guy who read up to date on Quotev wrote a really small paragraph review but eh doesn't tell me much.

But the main reason why I want something more up to date is probably because I change my writing style in 49, which is another reason why I don't want someone to provide a detailed review about the writing or anything writing wise before reaching that point. Eh. Too much ramble.

Looking for reviews that cover up to the latest chapter (about 290k words). Most people stop reading within the first few or so chapters. A pitfall of the design of my first arc but it’s not like I can change just a few chapters without having to change everything. I have enough feedback for chapters 1-40. More looking for CH 41 - current.

Or you can just comment or provide more reader feedback.
