Hello All,
So I am new to the site and I just feel like it's super difficult to even get readers let alone reviews. There is zero engagement on my book and it kind of demotivated me because I am writing sorely for the readers and you all can relate to how busy we all are. My issue i that I am not a native English speaker and that is what may effect my writing to an extent.
Is it me or it's the same with everyone here? When ever I think of new ideas I just starts assuming my book will be super popular with the readers with how unique it is but later it leaves me disappointed to see my book not getting any recognition and readers not engaging with my book or trying to interact with me.
I don't want to drop my book yet because i feel it has the potential but at this rate how no one is showing any kind of interest I might just drop it.
Caos_Takanashi Please take down the link since it's not allowed in this particular forum as per my instructions. Just share the book name and the title page picture if you want but delete the link
Veronica8 Most welcome. Some of us are in the same boat :) I look for tips too
Sigheti They feel as if we writers own them a lot and they have no obligations towards us. They see us simple as untouchables as if their words no matter how harsh and demanding are orders we are obliged to fulfil without any feeling anything. There are readers who are absolute sweethearts but I hate those demanding type of readers they tend to forget we are humans with life too.
Kamlyn Tried that with my others books but never worked. I think they are just there to read and go -
Sigheti I know right for me even a simple hie or thanks for update helps. It just make me happy seeing that there is someone out there reading my work- Readers fails to realize that no matter where we stand in terms of writing many of us are not natives and we are trying to improve. Also we writers have lives , we are making time our of our busy schedules just to update and when silence is all we get we tend to lose hearts and the spirit to write.
Honestly most of us write because we want to tell people diverse stories and make their day with something interesting but writers aren't appreciated most of the time. I won't say that readers should comment every time but a little support won't hurt.
Ah thankyou so much for the advise. Yes just joined two days ago and this site is difficult to navigate tbh :)
Tinalynge Yup will definitely try these:) Thanks for the tips

Err those are zero for me.
Hello! I am new to this site however I am facing an issue- my book had 400+ views on the first day of it's publish however it's been two days already the views has increased to 500 and yet "zero" engagement on my book. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. Please let's discuss of the ways to increase our book engagements. But before that here are the rules.
I created this forum to be able to help all of us learn about how this website algorithm works and how we can all benefit from it.
Here are the rules. Please keep them in mind and establish decorum at all points and maintain a healthy chat that is interactive and useful to every single one of us.
Rules:
1) No advertisement of your book
2) No spamming of this forum with websites.
3)Be kind to everyone
4) You can discuss anything as long as it doesn't hurt anyone's sentiments.
5) No trolling and bullying will be tolerated.
Is anyone facing the same issue, you have a reader base however zero engagement on your book? I got 400+ views on my book in a day but literally not a single review and to say I am disappointed because you just get excited and when you see there is zero engagement it dampened my spirit.
A platform to discuss ways to be able to increase your book engagement. I will delete your post if it's unrelated to the forum and promoting your book.
Rule 1: No sites allowed. I will simply delete them.
Rule 2: Be kind to others.
Rule 3: No spamming allowed.
Rule 4: use this forum as a discussion forum and not for marketing your books.
Hello, I am new here. This might be off topic for many of you but I joined webnovel yesterday and posted three chapters in a day.
However I came today to see my book has 300+ views in a single day I was pleased with myself thought it's nothing much but to my disappointment despite the number of views there is no single engagement on my book. It was shocking to see- I won't lie I was expecting someone to leave me a review since i assumed those people must have read my book. Is it a bug with views or my book didn't interest the readers.
Please tell me what should I do?
Sincere apology if my comment offended anyone or is off topic. New to this forum thingy
I write romance books too but at time I believe that Romance should take a back seat in your book when it's needed having excessive scenes can make the book look the same ,I usually like blend of a lot of genres but the fact why most people go for romance is maybe the fact that people like that feeling that itself is attached to the word idk. Sci-fic although very creative but not something that can be easily imagined for oneself which is with the romance genre a lot of people find it relatable or something close to their fantasy of sort. Although that doesn't mean that it should be having a priority because every genre writer is working equally hard. With some out of the world and speechless ideas.
Hie! New author here. I will like to promote my novel you are welcome to read and leave your review. Hoping to improve alot :)
