For some reason pressing 'enter' when writing on Laptop automatically skips a line, on my phone it instead goes directly below the previous line. Is there a way to change the settings of either of these?

I write on both my phone and my laptop, i prefer my laptop but use my phone quite often since I always have it with me. On my phone each time i press 'enter' it starts a new line directly beneath the previous line.
On my laptop, every time i press 'enter' it automatically makes space between paragraphs.

I want to change the settings on one or the other to be consistent.

EldritchBlade Thanks for the clarification, I sort of had the idea that real life novels have a certain amount of pages per volume so i thought it was similar. I forgot that there is no physical book with webnovels lol

I've not reached a stage where I need to worry about this question too much, but I am curious. Does one split volumes by arcs? or is there a certain amount of chapters for a volume?
