The problem is that the novel doesn't earn enough money so it doesn't pay enough to the parties involved. I think it would be better if they put these novel on ad based instead of a pay-wall and allowed gifts and donation to a patreon for both author and translator. the reason the novel failed in the first place was because of the pay-wall so only a number of people will read it because most people aren't willing to pay to read per chapter or they can add a one time purchase so ppl can buy the whole book.
If the novel is still updating maybe they can package 200-300ch as a one time purchase for a reasonable price instead of paying per chapter. since light novels sell per volume they should split them every 200-300 chapters and sell them like a regular book instead of per chapter which makes people upset at how much money they have to spend to read thousands of chapters.
Anyone know why novels are all shifting their update schedules and what is happening with some novels simultaneously stop updating?

just another way to rip more ppl off with the excuse that there are ppl who don't understand ss.
I am sure they would give contracts if your novel gets popular enough tho.
