Yeah the kind of feeling I was going for is like "The edge of tomorrow".

Though looks like I have a lot of work to do as I need rethink my plot quite a bit as what I originally planned was somthing different.

I am hoping to show a lot of psychological side though since anyone would go mad if they kept being forced to regress.

    • Also I don't mean like when someone goes back in time after dying once, but similar to "Skeleton Soldier Couldn't Protect the Dungeon" Where the MC Regresses every time he dies.

      • Hie guys just posting again to keep the post activate and on the first page. Also wanted to ask if anyone has ideas to spread the news or keep the topic more activate?

      • Seriously just checked and the comic is also on this site and it has almost caught up to the manga if not has caught up if you are on privilege chapters, not only that, but it is doing while at rank 15 when I checked so it is popular. The comics were made to make people interested in the novel, yet the novel got dropped while the comic is still doing well.

Also though the translator was also releasing chapters on patron so people would have been using money on that to read the chapters early which means web novel wouldn't get the money they should since readers wouldn't use coins to read the chapters nor read it through privilege on the app. The reason it was dropped was due to revenue factor in most people waiting till dragon king was over and the translator releasing chapters outside webnovel it is no surprise revenue was affected.

      • Soul Land IV (Douluo Dalu) : Ultimate Fighting was previously dropped, however the prequel Legend of the Dragon King was still being translated and a lot of readers were waiting for that to be finished before moving on to 4. Also though the translator was doing advance chapters on patron at the time as well. I would like to request it be given another chance in the voting pool and hopefully it can stay up this time. This site has most of Tang Jia San Shao novels including the Douluo Dalu series and it did really well with Legend of the Dragon King it is a pity not to have the next entry of the series.

      • No news yet, I am however going to post pickup request and hope it gets through. Problem is that the reason it was taking down is cause it wasn't making enough revenue so even if it does get up can only hope that the people who didn't read it cause DD3 was on going are enough to keep the novel up.

        • Dwarkin So that means I can I post the dropped novel in the pickup request right, cause I don't want to see a novel dropped.

          • What the title says I want to know if dropped novels can be picked up again as well as if it is alright to post them in the novel pickup request again.

I thought my idea of limiting fast passes used on the same novel per a month and making it so they can't use them on chapters that aren't a week old was pretty good. The way I see it they will still be able to read for free if they wait and those who don't want to wait can pay with coins to read in advance. It's not fully preventing them from reading, for free but it is preventing them from exploiting them too much and giving readers more incentive to buy and use coins more. The main problem I have is that novels are being dropped cause they aren't getting enough revenue.

            • Dwarkin I wouldn't mind subscription base I feel that webnovel really does need to change how they do things though cause as it stands they are losing a lot of income and we readers are losing a lot of great stories.

            • Sollkiri For me it is every time I try and read mtl I just can't go long with it hurting and it only gets worse if I keep reading. One of the books I was reading was translated beside the last 30 or so chapters so I went to mtl read the last few chapters, but the headache I had afterwards was just a killer.

I would rather read good quality then bad.

m.t.l is just bad and hurts my head to read when I tried it. Also you are proving my point you would still be able to use your fast past just that webnovel would get its income from the novel. If you really want to read it for free then you would just need to wait till you can use fast passes on it.

              • So I noticed that a lot of new novels have been getting dropped one of these is a novel that was reading myself and I found this odd. All new novels are voted for and the novel I was reading did seem quite popular, but it was still dropped and the translator told us it was cause of revenue issues.

I noticed that with fast passes you can basically keep up to date with a novels daily releases just by the fast passes you can earn daily. You get three passes a day which means you can basically unlock three chapters a day this makes it possible for a reader to keep up with 1-3 novels for free if they have a daily release rate of 1-3 chapters. This would stop the novels from generating their expected income and result in them being dropped.

I like the fast passes, but feel they really should be balanced better as novels that clearly won in the voting pool are being dropped cause they are not earning enough money, but part of the reason why is that the web novel system allows readers to exploit fast passes to read new novels for free.

I think that fast passes need to be limited by how many you can use for a certain amount of time per a novel and also can't be used on the latest released chapters before a set time. For example you can only say use 10 fast passes per a month on the same novel and you can't use fast passes on chapters till a week after they have been released.

Just a suggesting, but think it is worth considering as web novel as like me I have seen a lot of people complaining about the new webnovels getting dropped and doesn't seem to be cause they weren't popular.

                • Milky_1971

Can you go into why you don't agree, cause the way I see it a lot of potentially good novels are being dropped before they truly get a chance to shine.

                • I can agree to this one of the novels I was reading Douluo Dalu 4 was pretty good and it was far from catching up to the raws. However while popular it's revenue was affected by fast passes and the fact that the previous novel in the series Douluo Dalu 3 hadn't finished yet by the time DD4 came so most readers of series were waiting for DD3 to finish before moving on to 4, but cause of that it was dropped due to revue issues.

Also feel that fast passes are a big factor as most novels are dropped cause of revenue and fast passes can affect that majorly for new novels. Take a novel which releases two chapters daily with the fast passes you can earn daily you can literally read the latest chapters for free everyday this means that the new novels aren't earning as much revenue as they should.

Instead of dropping the novels webnovels needs to change how it does things to make them more suitable. It would also be better not to drop the novels completely so they might be able to make a come back.

                • I was reading Soul Land IV (Douluo Dalu) : Ultimate Fighting and it was dropped despite the fact it seemed quite popular and the translators at the time said this was a revenue issue and I feel that a big reason for this is cause most readers were waiting for the prequel of Douluo Dalu 4 to finish Legend of the Dragon King which has finished recently and cause fast passes can be used to keep up with the latest releases.

I noticed that other great novels have also been dropped before they really had the chance to get going and feel the fast passes are big reason for this as just the daily passes are enough for you to read new released chapters for most novels so people aren't paying to read the newest chapters.

So I think implementing a limit on the number of times you can use a fast pass on specific novels based on their release rate is a good idea or make it so fast passes can not be used on new release chapters till a week or so after they were posted. This will mean that if people want to read the chapters as soon as possible they have to use coins and fast passes can only be used on older chapters.

I also think it would be a good idea not to drop novels completely from what I know webnovel owns the licences for the novels they drop still meaning new translator groups can't take up the drop novels. I think it would be a good idea instead of completely dropping a novel to still release chapters, but at a reduced pace so instead of daily it increases to weekly chapters. This should keep people interested in the novel as people are less likely to pick up a novel they are aware has been dropped, but more likely to pick it up as long as there are still chapters being released for it. This method would also allow webnovel to observe the novels sales and it can change and increase the release dates based on it allowing dropped novels to make a come back.

I know that most translators work on specific novels, but if they could manage to do even one chapter of a dropped novel weekly it would help keep the novel alive and depending on the revenue once a translator has finish their current project they could switch back to the previously dropped novel instead of starting a new one.

                  • Anyone have any ways to do stats that aren't the generic numbers way.

I was thinking of using letters like E-A where in order to move on to the next rank you need to go from 1-5, e.g E1-E5 then to D1-D5 and so on.

Anyone have any other ideas I want a simple system for stats and not sure how I should do it?

Those are good I properly remove the time part though cause I want it to be somthing that makes sense, but not out right stating.
