So, I've been reading novels on Webnovel and other sites for years and am constantly running into vastly differing chapter lengths. Some authors, for the sake of their sanity I imagine, only have around 800-1000 words per chapter. Others, I've noticed, have had extremely long chapters around 3000 words per chapter.
I guess my question is; what do you believe to be an ideal chapter length as a reader? Personally, I'm most satisfied with anything between 1200 and 2000. Curious to know what others' thoughts are about this.
