they have locked a lot of previously unlocked chapters including bought chapters on a big group of novels and they haven't exempted people who previously bought chapters

Dontlookdown how foolish. The true menace to our pockets is the free ss! If we get ride of those dastardly spirit stones that clog up this virtual economy due to its absolute value of zero, then everyone would be happier. The answer is not to establish a subscription, it is to eliminate the free ss!
lol are you crazy if they stopped free ss then 80% of readers would never come back myself included how can you expect people to spend $100+ to read a web novel upto current point or $200+ for a completed novel take mmorpg for example avg ss for a chap is 12 756 locked chapters so just over 9k ss like 9.04 would cost $148 now imagine a 1500 chap novel or a 2k chap novel or 3k your looking at $2-300 for a single novel validate spending that much for a novel and ill agree to remove free ss frankly id rather drop 2 novels and buy a console with the money i would save or maybe drop 4 novels and buy a new pc its just ridiculous
Rextraos are you crazy i get that stable funding for translators is a good thing but how on earth is the recent change of locking previously unlocked chapters a good step when novels go frop 30-50% paywall lead to a 80-90% paywall lead and to get current/complete you will need to spend over $100 for a single novel after 5-6 novels your looking at a good $500 and you think this is a good thing it will simply make reading of Chinese / Japanese novels become less popular until people just arent interested as they will never afford it if you was new to a scene and you was required to spend $100 + for a novel or wait for literal years would you honestly invest the money for a story or would you just drop it if you can honestly tell me you would happily spend $100+ every novel then i will call you a liar
same here i have simply dropped all webnovel novels until the format is altered again or i become a millionaire because its just beyond ridiculous like i used to read mmorpg immortal mortal library and a few others but now i simply read 1 novel only and only with free SS i refuse to ever spend money on here and will continue to drop any novels that come to this site if they are this selfish for people to spend money
did mmorpg always have the paywall starting from 100 because i have read this novel in the past up to around chapter 350 ish not 100% as i had put it on hold for a long time for more chapters to come out and i'm sure i have read to that far on webnovels but when i looked on it today i found that to read i will have to pay after chapter 100 was this paywall added due to the novel being complete as i tallied the price and your looking at around $150 to buy the spirit stones to unlock all chapters or was this paywall always there and was added when this novel was moved to webnovels as i know this used to be on GT

this could be with an artefact hes simply he has better bodily function that you shouldn't receive until a lot later because of an unknown fruit or a legacy from some great being that has chosen him etc etc etc
maybe giving these element systems different tiers of difficulty so as you progress you can do more complex uses to not have 100 wizards using fireball and the MC can have a reason to be able to comprehend or grasp more difficult constructs at a lower tier than socially accepted as the norm for example: in the book MGA the mc grasps spirit power usage better due to his bloodline from his mom
ill agree with that as i bought a fair few ss while i was working but being between jobs now i cant keep pace with what i was reading as i have to prioritise what i do have onto things more important

lol dark even if you only read 1 premium take immortal mortal for example the paywall is over 500 chapters and its already finished but even if they unlock 1 free chapter a day i gotta wait over 1 1/2 years

i made 1 error in this post when i last checked the amount of paywall chapters it was 195 its now 337 at scheduled 21 ch/week thats 4 months worth of chapters and in 4 months the paywall would likely of gone up 60 chapters/month avg 3/day release with 1 free a day aka 337 to 577 chapters will be paywalled in 4 months
found this the hard way that if you ever pay to get to the latest chapter you lose access to free daily release and will have to wait until free release schedule catches up to where you paid to take immortal mortal for example over 200 chapter paywall in a bout of stupidity i paid and read to current haven't touched the novel for 3 weeks since then i haven't received a single free chapter since and i wont for 3+ months now it seems based on release rate
perfect world online is a game years ago a bad knock off of a wow type of game but getting to over lvl 100 takes months of effort
make sure not to read immortal mortal then thats a killer on the $
can we change how this paywall works cause I have recently spent money on catching up on library and immortal mortal and now unless i continue paying until both books finish i will be blocked from receiving chapters until paywall catches up which in immortals case would mean over a month until i get another chapter
can we fix this so free chapters are related to accounts and not releases or am i not entitled to free chapters because i spend money ? especially since immortal mortal for example over 200 chapters paywall gaining 2-3 chapters per day on the paywall so it would mean close to 3 months before i read another chapter

Miya but the thing is the translator and qidian choose which books they can translate with permission its not like translators must translate small / slow books only
If they need more money people are more than willing to pay on patron depending on their financial standing / enthusiasm for the book/translator and they can give any sort of benefit they seem fit contact with translator/team or advanced chaps or simply cause they are a fan and also novels with 1-2 chapter releases usually have a part time translator and a small side gig or for fun or it could be a fairly new book that's being translated and they catch up to raws like tales of demons and gods 1 chapter a month
