No. It was introduced like few months back only

Once you make any purchase, that option will be gone. Only for the accounts without any purchase history will have this function. But I am sure there will remove it

The ads in books are for the account, which didn’t have any coin purchases even once.

From 3rd Aug, 2023 @ 21:30, I am not getting any ads but the buttons are present. I am facing the same issue even after 12 hours so I contacted the customer service and they told me they can’t do anything as this is related to google and try after sometime or with different network.

I waited until 1 hour ago to check again with my home wifi and found the button for ads to get fast pass in both rewards and books are removed.

I hope this is temporary but removing the buttons is the duty of developers not google. I lost interest in the book I am reading, which i unlocked very slowly with fast pass.

Make this temporary and revert back to the old version. It’s too disappointing

Not sure as of now. But it will be a disappointment if it is permanent as it will loose some of the appeal

Yes. It will be nice to have these again
