have you ever thought of writing your own novel? if yes, what are your example or draft storylines?

    rjm_Annihilate Yeah. But I can't seem to find much time to write between school and translating. Plus, I won't release an original unless I can guarantee a regular release rate.

      Misguided_Rooster Yep! I actually find it relaxing to translate one or chapters a day after a long day. For some reason, it helps me take my mind off things. But anything more than 2 a day and it will feel like work instead of casual fun.

        FlyingFisher Those tend to be chinese internet/regional slangs. Luckily, they are pretty rare in this novel. But on the rare occasion that they appear, I've been able to translate them. Or I'll ask the other translators for help. Or just google a bunch of words and try to see if I can get any inspiration from synonyms.

          If you were to start your life over;
          Would you still become a translator or would you become a writer?

            Misguided_Rooster I would dominate the top novels as a translator and use my fame to branch out to be an author. Possibly starting a website like GT or WW. I'll start writing my original when I'm young and start translating only in my teenage years. But honestly, if I can start my life over again, I would probably just invest in bitcoin or apple. I'll be set for life then, kekez.

              RegiusProfessor I have faith on you but I don't have faith on my wallet when the novel becomes premium :/ good novels become premium so fast nowadays so I have to drop some of them just to read the really good ones, now I realize how poor I am xD

                Junichiro (Those who want to ask about the premium/free chapter, unfortunately, I don't know the details, so I can't answer your queries. All I know is that things are going on behind the scenes.)

                It had been answered above. Use this rare chance to communicate with a translator. Especially, if you read the novel.

                  Junichiro I'm in no way a representative of webnovel nor is my information from QI.
                  But I heard from others that some chinese authors complained about how webnovel unlocks a free chapter a day while it's a perma paywall for the chinese qidian. So the international department and the chinese department are clashing over this. They will probably make an official announcement once a decision has been made.

                    UnusualReader So many things man. Read more, learn a new language (kids learn things way better), girls, better academic results, work to make money at a younger age, play less games, watch less tv/anime, read less manga, mess with people, blah blah.
                    But, try not to fantasize too much about what to do if you can restart your life or enter an isekai, alright kiddos? Focus on what's actually happening in your lives right now, the people around you, and whether or not you are living to the fullest.
                    Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results. If you daydream about what you'll do if you become a billionaire, get superpowers, etc, yet your actions show that you're wasting your life away, that's insane.
                    You're the MC in your story, so work hard like the MCs do.
                    Life lessons from cele~

                      Isekai? Why do I feel like someone is talking about me? T_T I enjoy isekai manga . . .
