MasterRabbink For the foreseeable future, no, I don't see myself dropping this novel. I started translating around Dec 2017 and I don't see any reason why I would drop it. Maybe release rates will fluctuate depending on real-life situation, but I highly doubt it. I've been pretty consistent for the past 9 months. I don't know about translations being dropped by translators though. Do they just disappear or do they inform readers that due to so and so, they won't be translating anymore?

rjm_Annihilate Yeah. But I can't seem to find much time to write between school and translating. Plus, I won't release an original unless I can guarantee a regular release rate.
Misguided_Rooster Yep! I actually find it relaxing to translate one or chapters a day after a long day. For some reason, it helps me take my mind off things. But anything more than 2 a day and it will feel like work instead of casual fun.
How do you deal with phrases that don't really make sence in english but do in the original ??
FlyingFisher Those tend to be chinese internet/regional slangs. Luckily, they are pretty rare in this novel. But on the rare occasion that they appear, I've been able to translate them. Or I'll ask the other translators for help. Or just google a bunch of words and try to see if I can get any inspiration from synonyms.
