Writing Prompts Contests #16 & #17
VRMMO type of kingdom building counts?
I'll be entering contest #16 Kingdom Building
https://www.webnovel.com/book/11712210505494005/An-Ant's-Awareness
Synopsis
Spending his days as an average student, Kee Strok finds himself stranded in a place where the world has evolved and leaving the human race behind. Not wanting to see the human race become actual extinct, he decides to make humans as the number one species again while being given the task to lead a small human settlement.
Missed by a single count~ I am preparing a Sect Building + Villain System type of novel. I'll have to wait another week.
Evil Sect Master and the Endless Wave of Heroes
Synopsis: After crossing over to another world, Shu Yidan was faced with many pressures, being the descendant of a aristocratic clan and a Successor Disciple of the Sect Master, yet secretly a drug addict whose cultivation was crippled by excessive intake of pills.
After successfully integrating himself in the world, he was faced by his genius junior apprentice sister battling him for the Sect Master's favor and his abandoned Dao Companion hell bent on screwing him over...
And after settling these matters, he was faced with the protagonist of the story, a being guarded by almighty plot armor, surrounded by peerless beauties, turning wise old elders stupid and transforming the arrogant geniuses into meat patties...
Becoming the Sect Master, he defeated the protagonist somehow and tragically died after that. But it seemed that a little luck rubbed off on him as he timetravelled to the beginning!
Preparing to enjoy a blessed life of fulfilling all his dreams and dealing with all his regrets, Shu Yidan was surprised by a mechanical female sound.
[Protagonist Plot Halo Splitting System activated!]
Facing a endless wave of protagonists, Shu Yidan was forced to work hard.
AardwarkThe2nd Always love the 'unique' type MC. Actually this could be included in 'Kingdom Building'. Even a Dungeon could be imagined as a kingdom building story.
Great
Sounds good. Reminds me a bit of History’s Strongest Senior Brother. Reincarnator cast in "antagonist role" and having to deal with numerous MCs.
Do we have to submit the story here? I ask that because I don't find that selection 'Writing prompts' anywhere on my book page. A little help would be nice.
I want to submit my story for both
Writing prompts contest #16 :Kingdom Building
Writing Prompts contest #17: Women Runs The World

ForestRage when you create the book, you'll see something below the genre.. there you can see it.
Here's my story for Writing Prompt #16: Kingdom Building.
It's called The Jade Gate and was inspired by my enjoyment of such stories as Overlord and Log Horizon.
My entry for Writing Prompt #16: Kingdom Building
Eternal Kingdom is a story set in a Sandbox Fantasy VRMMO Game called Emperor's Destiny.
Join the adventure of a young CEO Billionaire and a loving brother in the VRMMO Game Emperor's Destiny where he built a kingdom from scratch for her dear sister.
It's seem there are many kingdom building contestants this week.

I thought I'd give it a shot too.. this is for Writing Prompt #16: Kingdom Building. It's listed under 'fantasy' though maybe 'magic realism' might be more suitable...
https://www.webnovel.com/book/11722023306490205/Kingdom-of-the-Weak
Synopsis: Born with a curse of weakness, Remian Vin always had to depend on others to survive. One day, after a close encounter with death, to improve the lives of his loved ones, Remian set out to the Frontier…
#Weak Mc, #Not A Game, #Fantasy, #Magic, #Airships, #Magic Beasts, #Humble Beginnings, #intellectual MC, #Multi-generational, #Dynasty
It's quite different from Riku the Earth Knight and Dreamworlds, but it should be fun.
WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL Would last week's results be released in this thread or another one?
WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL I'm interested in writing for the kingdom building contest but I'm worried about the rule requiring that I possess the copywrite. As a U.S. citizen I'm fairly sure I'm at least somewhat protected simply by posting my work in a readable format but I'm not sure. Do I need to register my work with the U.S. copywrite office and can I even. I've spent about 30 minutes on search engines trying to figure out if I can get a copywrite for a webnovel which is essentially a work in progress. I don't even know for certain whether I should attempt to register my work as a serial of some type or as a book. Any answers would be much appreciated.
JamondAroth no need to get in all the legal stuff-- it's actually really simple. it's just Webnovel's way of saying, don't plagiarize other people's works.
JamondAroth That's not how copyright works, my friend. Intellectual copyright is asserted the moment a work is created, without needing to be filed with the government. If it can be proved that someone owns intellectual copyright on a work (aka they can prove they wrote it), they can pursue copyright infringement in court. So all they're saying is you have to write your story entirely on your own, and not use copyrighted material from other authors.
Hope that helped! :)

Chapters 2, 3 and 4 have now been released for The Jade Gate.
Also had to change the rating from G to PG, maybe in the future it becomes an M. Seems like I can't write a child friendly story.
