No where did I write that this site was for a Chinese Audience. Instead I wrote Asian Fantasy audience. Which includes all people who read Asian Fantasy novels. Or did you believe that only Chinese people read Asian Fantasy?

Now, since this site is for readers who enjoy Asian Fantasy, then saying that Western Fantasy ideals are normal on this site, is incorrect. The language of a site doesn't determine its cultural aesthetic. Coming here and expecting a prevalence of Western stories is like going to an Anime site and complaining that there's not enough Walt Disney and Loony Tunes content.

Had to repost as my internet suddenly f###ed up and saved my post before editing (does into doesn't). Pure irony. :D

Note to self. Can't delete posts. Add that to list of other things Webnovel doesn't allow one to delete. ✨

LawCol Actually you can delete as long as nobody post below you. Now you can't. Gwahahaha.

I posted below me. I had two pages up and was typing replies to two different posts on this topic, at the same time, because... I'm a different kind of Normal. Then my wi-fi decided it wanted to go walk-about (that's an Aussie term). When I come back to the forum, both entries were posted.

LawCol Wait walk-about is a term only limited to aussies? I clearly did not know of this. This reminds me of when I was 14 and went online for the very first time and was talking about maccas and no one knew what I was talking about.

LawCol What I meant was that most of people who are here Fantasy means European Fantasy. And even the site itself has "Eastern Fantasy". I assumed that non eastern Fantasy should be called just "Fantasy".
And you can't really expected from someone who had been on the site only two hours to know everything what is popular her. Especially when the site's name is Web Novels which doesn't give any hint that it is mainly Asiatic.

PS. Sorry that you had to write it twice because of me.

Walkabout is originally an Australian Aborigine term. I went to primary school with a lot of Aborigines and that's when I found out about it. I think it was originally similar to a rite of passage. But now it's used as anytime someone walks off and/or disappears.

I'd say that the Fantasy Genre on this site isn't actually Western Fantasy. It seems to be more a catch all area. There's Xianxia and Xuanhuan novels in there. Plus System stories which are heavily influenced by Asian Fantasy concepts, and even Post-Apocalypse settings. This site probably does need a classical Western Fantasy genre to make things less misleading.

As for the original poster only having been on here 2 hours, I actually stayed clear of that point. Personally I think it strange when someone complains about a site as large as this one, after only 2 hours. How many chapters can one read in that time? I feel that if the original poster wanted to ask questions or seek guidance, then there much more constructive ways of doing it.

reincarnation / transported to new world is the popular in demand right now, what do you expect?

just same concept irl there are KFC, texas chicken, A&W, McDonald, etc that sell similar popular on demand fried chicken.
don't be a useless wimp & respect the author for their original work. Albeit the similar premises.

8374fg48fh Which books have read so far that you really disliked? Or what books have you started reading?

8374fg48fh 8374fg48fh Not saying you wrong particularly but if your only main critique is that the stories are samey then you’re being a little more than hyperbolic in your condemnation. Whilst originality is definitely important two works can be very nearly identical and still both be entertaining in their own right. I’m not exactly sure how you could have read enough stories on this site in an hours or so to conclude that they are all the same, the writing is all bad and the characters are all boring, but as pretty much anyone can post pretty much anything I’d say that a fair amount of sub par content is par for the course. I’ve started plenty of high ranking novels and found them slow and droning from the first chapter but with the wide variety of stuff there’s to find you can just drop it and find a novel more suited to your tastes, that’s sort of why sites like this exist after all. Every web novel site has its gems and I’ve spent enough time on fanfiction.net when I used to use it a few years ago to know that it’s full of trash, I still managed to find a few decent stories there despite that fact. Most stuff in the internet is garbage, it’s been like that this whole time, not many people care whether what they’ve written is any good or not they just want to post their ideas somewhere.
This is way longer than I thought it’d be, just keep looking for a novel that fits you.

Also there’s nothing wrong with reincarnation stories.

Rextraos Correction in the above post, this GRANDPA @MasterRabbink is a grandpa even outside its own novel. 😂😂😂 A shameless grandpa! Now he promoted his novel again! Tsk, tsk, tsk, you were asking for it.

                      MasterRabbink I just corrected the

"Grandpa" character in its own novel

You have to tell him your a grandpa even outside your novel. 😂

MasterRabbink Alrighty, I get what a Rabbink is now. They are like the lowest tier enemy in an MMORPG. Geez, I feel sorry for them. Would one even get exp for slaying one? Probably not.
