I am a 40 year old guys, have a wife, decent worker, and still love light novel. From chinese literature i was read all of Jin Yong and some of Gu Long( which almost all story in xianxia plot armor is create by him) , also Huang ying. And all of that from my childhood. If you all known Indonesian you would know Kho Ping Hoo he is a chinese with Indonesian nationality who produce wuxia and also xianxia in 1970-1990. Thats why i becoming xianxia reader eventhough i am in my 40 now. So age nothing to do with reading eventhough in 80 i might stil read.this kinda story.

Nope. Coming from this great aunt, just do what makes you happy, no need to care about age or what other people may think. While there may be an age target for every story or novel, you're free to read whatever you want to. It's similar to how some people like animated shows or movies.
there's no age limit when it comes to reading. only the genre you read is changing
With the harem,ecchi tags all over these novels the real question for me is "Am i too young to read light novels"

I never understood why people put age limits on hobbies. If you enjoy it and it doesn’t harm anyone why put an age limit on it? I can confidantly say even if I was 50 yrs old I’d still play video games, read manga and novels and do all the things I currently enjoy. More so because once you get older you don’t have as much energy to go out. So indoor activities like these would be just perfect. Btw I just turned 24.
