Hello, I’m looking for cultivation novels where the male lead has 1 love interest. I hate harems. I Eat Tomatoes had good ones but I’ve pretty much read all his stories so I’m looking for something similar. I’ve already read Douluo Dalu so something else would be appreciated.

Conversely guys can read female novels. Like me. Not cause I like the females per se, I just like how the stories are more business centered rather than fights. If the story’s good people will read it.

Naruzaki I’m seeing mostly bad. They removed the “watch video” option and I only got the regular 5ss instead of the 10 for checking in during the weekend. They’re lowering the free ss. I know they’re a company so they have to focus on profit but WN aren’t exactly huge in the world. Would people keep coming here if they have to pay for everything? Personally I’d much rather pay for physical book fine tuned by a publishing company. Without freebies I wouldn’t even come here. These novels focus on quantity over quality. I’m not spending money on these except for the rare exceptions.

XOMatsumaeohana I took it to mean real paperback novels (though I buy hardcover) you have to admit they’re much better than what you find here. Of course they spend months to yrs fine tuning the story with an entire team so that’s only natural. Webnovel is like cheap fast food. Emphasis on cheap yet they want to charge the price for fine dining. No thanks. I prefer more logical investments of my money. Higher quality = higher price. The only reason I got into these stories is because they were free and I have donated to people I like to support them but seeing what webnovel is doing is making me lose all my drive in supporting. Paywall is bad enough but now you have to subscribe as well? And is there a difference between being lvl 5 and 6? What did I get all that experience for? Plus there’s the fact that they won’t allow anyone else to translate their stories even though they aren’t doing anything with it. I just can’t feel any respect or loyalty to this greedy company.
So this hasn’t been updated since July. It’s on Gravity which is associated with Qidian, had the original on Qidian and only has 141 chapters to be translated. For the love of god finish it or give someone the rights. I heard Babelchain tried to continue it but got blocked by Qidian due to rights. If you’re going to do that then at least get someone to finish it!
So like the title says; I just did the daily check in and only got 20 exp! WHAT ABOUT MY SPIRIT STONES?! I can’t check in anymore and I got no ss in my history for the one. Is anyone else having this issue?
angkong was the raws dropped? Even if it caught up there should still be chapters being updated. It’s been 3 weeks and no new chapter so it sounds like it was either dropped or mimics TDG.
So was Monster paradise dropped or what? There hasn’t been an update for 3 weeks now. Any news or explanations?

So what does everyone think of the comics? Personally I like them but since it’s fairly new there’s very few chap. What I’m especially interested in is the girl on forty millenium of cultivation. I don’t think it’s Ding Lingdang but can’t think of any one else who it could be except maybe that girl from the first school who was the second top genius and hired Li Yao to fix something in the beginning. Any ideas?
So basically you want something different. While I don’t know if this fits your criteria I’d recommend Forty Millenium of Cultivation. As the name implies it’s cultivation but it’s also sci fi with a brilliant mc who is actually smart with enemies who don’t seem like they lack a working brain that actually see through part, if not all, Of the mcs plans. It’s patriotic with humans uniting for survival and cultivators don’t just kill off those that piss em off and actually protect the weak. The sects are just businesses who have to account for their status and the public’s impressions if they want to continue and prosper. It’s the type of world I’d want if cultivation was real. Plus the mc is basically an engineer/inventor in addition to a fighter which is fairly rare. And enemies actually have layers of plots. This is hands down one of if not the best novel in this site.

How long has it been since I got a mass release for something I liked? Give me super gene. Forty milleniums. Either is fine. Heck I’ll take gourmet of another world or Seeking the Flying Sword Path at this point.

I heard the guys in Qidian learned what they were doing here and got pissed. Writers complained bc free chpts isn’t how they do it there and so they paywalled it here like they do in China to make it consistent and make more money. While I understand Qidian forced them this is where I draw the line. I’ve mostly given this site up except for super gene and I’m getting bored with that too. Time to go back to real books. They’re better quality anyway

I was just about to comment on this. I know for a fact that true martial world, gourmet of another world and last wish system no longer give free chaps. I’m really getting tired of this. Pretty soon I might drop the site as a whole. Not like I can’t go to a library and read real books which are 10x better and free. Or read manga. Plus I’m disgusted by this site’s tactics from taking novels from other sites to blocking chaps even after already being released. (CEO spoil me had all but 100 or so chps paywalled despite already releasing hundreds more from daily free unlocks) It’s bad enough they won’t release the rest but to take away even the chps before that? I know that they’re a business and profit comes first but the lack of regard for their reputation makes it very hard to support them and I’m reaching my limit. I’m not asking for complete freebies but don’t make me feel like they’d rip my flesh out and eat it if they could. pretty soon I’d have to pay for anything after chpt 100. The reason I got into webnovels is bc they’re cheap but pretty soon that’s going to change at this rate and these stories are not worth it. They’re second rate stories written by a single guy and maybe one editor in a rushed job. Incomparable to teams who spend months to even yrs refining a single real book. They never even have decent endings. Don’t try to push cheeseburgers as 5-star cuisine when everybody knows better. While I respect the opportunities they provide fledgling authors the quality isn’t worth the price tag and I’m not falling for it. If it was just that I’d still want to support the authors but the tactics employed by the company make me lose all motivation and good feelings.
Water0202020 just read nobelvampire’s post and I can now confidently say this is another night ranger. The setting is basically the same with a couple tweaks but even the ending is similar in that it’s rushed. When I spoiled myself NR’s ending I dropped it. And now it seems I’ll have to drop this too. It’s such a pity webnovels so rarely get decent endings. But when it’s all done by one guy in a rush I guess you can’t expect too much. Feeling unsatisfied is just a part and parcel to the experience.
Yea it looks like Advent of the Archmage is gonna be a harem. Link just got his second girl. I’m honestly disappointed. Link was my ideal mc but now he got a harem which is usually enough to never even try a novel for me. I never liked the genre. For those who like it, have at it. Everyone’s entitled to their own preference. It’s just not my cup of tea. But I’ll still be reading this story bc it’s still one of the best webnovels I’ve ever read.

Thorrak you’re basically correct. But what distinguishes this novel from the rest is that Link (mc) acts like a true savior, which is what he was brought to do by the god of light. He actually makes allies by forgoing his personal gain and investing in his relationships. He takes shorter shares of the reward to gain trust and loyalty from his subordinates. He gave a large percentage of his profits to help fund the war against the dark side thereby gaining the king’s trust and joining his council. He doesn’t just judge those that use dark arts simply by their magic and even befriends some. In this story, the allies are just as important in as the mc. (No one man war here) It’s similar to night ranger except while marvin uses his knowledge of the future to gain equipment, Link has already changed history so his foreknowledge is negligible for the most part. His op system is his biggest support but all it does is give him mana recovery and helps lvl up quicker. He still has to improve his spells himself to be strong. And the last thing to mention is that he’s hardworking. Think obsessive scientist. Not really interested in women except for one and she basically has to seduce him from his work. Overall it’s pretty good and I hope I didn’t spoil anything for you.

It’s good but I already have other stories to read. Archmage for one. It’s straight up one of the best I’ve ever read. Super gene is also a personal fav but it’s not as perfect as archmage in my opinion. The mc is more selfish and while that’s not bad I prefer heroic and patriotic mcs like Link.
