Let's say it says 100k views...
Does it mean 100k people have checked out just the synopsis? or have they read at least one chapter?

Siterus Correction from what Misguided_Rooster said... it just means that 'read' was clicked 100k times... the number of people doesn't matter, the same person can click 'read' five times and then you have 5 views.;,;.

DeJeL Isn't it counting the number of read chapters? So let say you have 5 chapters a person would click read and scroll all of those and you get 5 views. But the next tie when thet person click(and there is no new chapters) you will get 0 views?

Res_Publica Accdng to a previous post from an editor, a reader reading all 5 chapters on one go counted as 1 view only. And I think, a viewing of read chapters with no new chapter was still counted in views.

So with this, it's possible my views were only me checking my chapters daily. LOL

          DeJeL
Agreed. I've heard you get a single 'view' every time someone visits your novel page basically. So if they read 1 chapter or 100 it doesn't matter. It's a view every time they open the novel page. So most of your views will likely come from your daily readers opening it each day to check for a new chapter. This makes it easy to tell how many readers you have early on. Views/chapters = # of people. Later on it's pretty impossible to tell since new readers may read the whole thing in 1 shot before throwing it in their library for chapters to build up again.

SnoozySloth That is the rumor. However it is not the truth. Views is easily manipulated. Even Wattpad didn't show the real views.

Try to make a dummy novel one novel has 1 chapter, the other has 10 chapter. It is number of chapter per click.

Alright, now it got more confusing...
