Why lock already unlocked chapters? This makes no sense especially when some novels that have already been translated with hundreds of chapters that were previously all FREE are being ripped off the sites and now cost SS. I downloaded a novel to read while I was on a trip and discovered that all the chapters that were previously UNLOCKED that I was going to read are now all locked!

Also, why even bother making some novels premium? Honestly, at this point premium is being thrown around for every novel. It used to be for pretty popular ones just a few minutes ago I discovered one of the newer Korean novels involving a system was now premium despite having around 50 chapters. It wasn't popular and because nothing special really happened yet in the story to make it really stand out but it's already being locked? Dead novel incoming. I honestly cannot fathom why "unpopular" novels that range from the 70-60 rankings and above are premium locked, it kills the fanbase for the novel. I stopped reading many novels on this site because the premium chapters stack up and I know I can never pay for all of them. I legitimately stopped reading "The strongest system" for about 3 months? and when I came back getting hyped to read it just caught up to where I was despite me being barely ahead, same for Supergene.

Novels on this site are becoming extremely expensive. How do you expect us to read many of your novels if the high-quality ones are doomed to be premium or the poor quality ones will remain poor quality. This site/app made me stop reading other novels and become a pretty big fan of the ones on here but I am becoming increasingly bored with the crappy novels in the votings, the expensive chapters and novels that aren't outstanding but still get premium so I stop reading them.

Step up your game webnovel, this is like every P2W game that pisses people off, There's a reason previously top novels like Release that witch and Library of heavens path are dropping the rankings (despite still being popular).

PlotArmour yea, the word "premium" has no meaning anymore. WN seems to just slap the sticker on any novel that becomes relatively popular. There was one novel, forget what it was, but it was some video game apocolypse reincarnation one. I read it cause it was an easy read, nothin fancy. But once i saw it became premium that novel got kicked out of my library faster than a guy gets kicked out of his house after his wife catches him cheating.

This business model is horrendous, and is ruining an authors chance to earn money off premium. Ss are now quite overpriced and in low quantity. That means that readers will only use them on their absolute favorite novels. This puts the authors who are kind of in the middle between decent and great in a tough spot. Basically not enough ss to go around for all these novels, with many of them being a tier or two lower than the best/most popular novels.

How does an author whose novel is premium get paid other than ss? Would of been better off just having adwalls. The reason WNs business model isnt working is due to them assuming the number of ss in circulation would increase. The problem with that is the number of users has not increased dramatically, and people arent buying more ss, at least from what i know. So this may lead to "dead" premium novels that cost too much for what they offer, especially since there are better premium novels with the same price. I hope im wrong, cause i may very well be, but thats what i am seeing, and this is how i interpret it.

PlotArmour you posted this before already, I even replied to it. XD maybe I'm wrong, since the forum is filled with the same thread talking about the re-locked chapters. I probably just mistaken your post to someone else's seems it's so similar.

I don't see the big deal, it's like you people never heard of epubs and readers before. If you don't like to watch the Ads then complaining won't make any difference. You're not the first one and won't be the last one to fail for sure. The app is too bright to begin with, the only reason why I'm using this app is to binge read free chapters and I won't have to download the volumes 1 by 1.

this is a new feature. But any chaps unlocked will stay unlocked now. When this new feature came out, most of the chaps in most of the novels became ad locked. I haven't seen the problem in premium chaps. What have been unlocked are unlocked for me.

The monies. You come for the good ones, get lured to read the average and end up reading general junk in the end to kill time between chapters. The eventual hope being that readers decide to spend money.

An excellent business strategy, brought to you by the bright minds who considered plagiarizing translated works a legitimate business tactic

For some novel yes but most of them it isn't worth it . With that are those that I mean that I want it just for a casual read to past time. But the problem lies in that everyone has their on preference so I don't have a solution for that. I would love it if they were all free and we just need to watch an ad for them and as other suggest those that get 1 chapter or more a day while premium gets way more.

The solution is simple charge a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual flat rates that allows the readers full access to chapters in all the novels regardless. You have basic to premium cost with certain benefits associated with it. eg basic - allows readers full access to say 10 novels while premium = 20-25 your pick. Whether the reader choses to keep or delete the novel does not matter, it stays the same and should be in that range. I do not think that power readers or new customers would have issues paying an annual rate of US$100-$150. The majority of the books are incomplete why continuously pay so much for such books when its cheaper to get it elsewhere.

People come here because they like to read, some of the stories and it relaxes them somewhat. They also like the fan fiction and original stories that come here, but if coming here does not make them enjoy the experience they are likely to leave.

Are you aware that the cost of this is similar to that of a 1-2 night stay in a hotel room? Qidan do something better.

phoenix_8888 We have been proposing a subscription method for quite a while now. Its never gonna happen, like the one they're doing right now is based on what they do on Qidian. So yeah. Premium is gonna, more or less, stay the same.
