Writing Prompts Contest #28:Contractual Love
It is a common trope to have a man and woman develop romantic feelings for each other after being forced to be together through a contract.
The leads are usually at conflict with each other and loggerheads in the beginning, but due to a series of misunderstandings and experiences, they will discover the merits of each other and develop feelings for each other. When they no longer need to abide to the contract, they realize they can no longer leave each other. An example would be the Korean drama, Full House.
This is the classic romance story.
In recent years, romance stories have strong female leads taking the initiative to approach the male leads. The contract trope then stems from a past marriage or how the female lead needs money desperately. An example is Trial Marriage Husband: Need to Work Hard.
Regardless of the classic contract or the new styles, these romance stories are well-liked by readers. If you are interested in this genre, give a try at creating such stories!
