Daoisthentai was browsing some originals in the top 100, got surprised that there are only a few fanfics out there and decided to check em out. it was a TGD fanfic immortals tale in demons and gods...
i got into an argument with the author there long time ago we argued, said some nasty words then made up... even wrote a review on it and also a follow up review, i was glad to see the author improved in writing but it wasnt my cup of tea still... so i browsed some of the reviews liked some reasonable ones and thats when i found that comment in one of the replies...

lol the things i find the comment/review section sometimes sure do get heated up, someone needs to make a novel out of this...
make it a system, where the mc gets exp by being a keyboard warrior...

      so yeah.... this type of reply to a bad review gives me cancer so much that if i knew who that person was in real life id shoot them

      just because someone gave a bad review doesnt give you the right to reply with "why dont you write your own novel"... even the author of the story in question said "im sad you didnt enjoy my story but still thank you for the review".
      i mean what are you? a kid? lol.....
      so yeah, im no writer but if i decided to suddenly post the ones i write i certainly dont want my readers to be this type of reader.... if you like a story, then like it the way you want, dont go fighting every tom dick and harry that comes by with an opinion and reply with the childish shit like "why dont you do it better then sherlock"

      if ya want to read the review its on a DBxnaruto fanfic, the review has 48 replies, dont want to call em out, they know who they are

      im losing faith in the fanfic community of this site and giving up.... really its like most of the readers here havent heard of fanfics before, some bad/average/good fics gets praised to the high heavens its disgusting to see....some people take some of the FF's here as a high standard when really only a few of them are good....

      "this is the best fanfic ive ever read"... i mean really? out of the millions of fanfic available on the internet this is the best? nah man its even badder than bad
      "you should sell this to this publisher, you write better stories"... wtf are you smoking, i mean the story aint bad, but its still a gary stu/shipping/power fantasy fic, its not on the level of the publisher you are mentioning
      "ignore bad reviews they aint true this story is a masterpiece"... well im gonna ignore your reviews from now on because i certainly know this fic aint a masterpiece, cant even get the grammar right.

      yeah im sick of reading these types of reviews that doesnt really contribute to anything at all and just shows how ignorant some are.. or maybe im wrong and most of those reviewers are teenagers and havent really experienced how big the internet is yet and are seriously amazed... if that was the case... im sorry if you got offended...

        Separate original works from fanfiction.
        If it takes canonical characterisation, universe architecture or world story from another author's hard work. Then its fanfiction and should be separate.

        I dont want to see chrysalis next to a naruto/fairytale F/FIC.

        Lm ao I love fanfics on fanfiction net but i never thought about originals and fanfics mixing on webnovels because I dont read the originals here. Still nice argument not something I care about but sounds about right

        To be honest, I was quite surprised when I discovered fanfics here but since I know multiple sites where I can read some good fanfics since I'm a writer of fanfics as well, I didn't mind the new addition. It only lowered my impression of Webnovel because I was expecting this to be Eastern Fantasy centered/Chinese novel translations only. I didn't know that fanfics in this site got to this chaotic point and although I don't read Originals, I do understand the need to separate said works from fanfiction because fanfics borrow from somebody's intellectual property even more so when there's no significant change in the plot OR the fanfic writer didn't transform the work in a different way.

        The fanfic-originals issue should have been taken into consideration before the staff green-lighted the project and the fact that it exists until now is alarming. Hopefully, they'll just scrape off fanfics or even other uncontracted originals all together because they clearly cannot manage them. On that note, I don't hate fanfics or orginals to exist in the site but I do wish that Webnovel.com/qidian can maintain and improve their regulation of the works they are publishing.

        I don't hate fanfiction, there are good novels out there. but it is true that the fanfictions make it impossible for us readers to find good original novels. the fanfictions and originals must be separated like translation and original.
        this will allow the original novel section to prosper. This is something webnovel has to do and I hope they will look into it.

        I also found some good novels in the middle of power ranking, these novels don't update daily and only have few chapters in their arsenal but they don't get the exposure like the other novels which update daily. perhaps separating fanfiction to another section will give these novels a boost.

        Ive been lurking for awhile and looks like there is no movement from Q.
        I do hope that they fix this problem since its hard to navigate the search function from being full of FF result.

        The last app version(Or the one before that) had a separate listing for Translations/Originals/Fanfics. They removed it for some reason and now everything is mashed up in one big pile of smoking hot shit.
