lozlo I dont want to argue you with your and supported bullshit. As they say if you keep talking to idiots you'll eventually turn to one. Talk to me again when you have a valid point and not cherry picked.

Shamelessly recommending "It's Not Easy to Be a Man After Travelling to the Future" (Rank 9).
It's wrongfully tagged as Romance Fiction when romance is 0.01% of it.
Guys who read it say the female MC is refreshing and a boss B). She loves hiding her strength.
The writing is thought out and full of details. Mainly about sci-fi world building, militarism, and training.
Most novels with female mcs have romance, but there are those that do not, as several people before me have stated. Then there are the novel's with male mcs, which are usually harem. And the mc of said novel is usually either the dense, 'Justice!' Type or the 'Kill everyone' kind of person.
I have nothing against either, as most people have their own preferences, though it is true that nearly all the top books are now books on romance, and that one day, there will be naught a single Shonen novel on here. ( Wattpad I see you )
Basically. More than half (maybe even three-fourths) of novels online have romance. Whether the mc is an op female who has an op as Fuck husband/boyfriend/fiance, or if the protagonist is an op male with harem members for everyday of the fucking week.
Also, just wait for a bit until everything's locked. Or just spend all your hard earned money (unless your some second generation rich kid/heir, whatever you wanna call it) on this site.
=_=
Fuck it why not. Bow down to our new rulers.... ;-;
(Insert tons of Japanese dogeza emoticons)
Edit;
I have no idea what I just wrote.
*that moment when you can't put in text emoticons coz the underscore keeps disappearing ;-;
HeWhoReadsBooks what im talking about is female oriented books flooding the site. This will attract more female readers. Increasing the demand to the point that novels we love will will be washed away by the endless shit that is female oriented books.
The10thCrow i have to disagree with you bad female oriented novels are as terrible as bad male oriented ones
AlexNeo yup, I agreed. Just take a look at Doomsday Wonderland. It's a female lead but it doesn't have any romance in it. Just some savage, muscle brain female lead. She's the most awesome and funniest female lewd I ever meet. Not just some fragile woman who needs a protection of system or male lead.
Euphoria_internity I'm going to check that out! :O
Low-key romance novels are good if people like'em but they make me cringe.
Have you read It's Not Easy to be a Man After Traveling to the Future? It's similar to Doomsday Wonderland though the MC crossdresses, it's for a good reason. Kind of like Mulan? but without the gender reveal nonsense.
She's a badass B)
Do you have any other recommendations? :33
The10thCrow Do you fear women or something? (curious)
The10thCrow
"Now dont blame if the time comes where the top 20 are only female oriented books and translators are switching to them. DONT SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU GUYS."
Now the real question is wheter translators pick a novel cuz they like it or because they expect to earns big bucks from it?
Now if the translators are as greedy as you think, then yes, we are fucked :s
The10thCrow what does appearance have to do with anything?
jyuudi doesn't that have romance in it? If it doesn't then I'll check it out, if it does, I won't check it out
The10thCrow What you mean is, I'm right and you can't think of a way to manipulate the truth with your rape logic. But, of course, I'm the one who's "cherry picking." Talk to me again when you have a valid point that you didn't pull out of your ass to justify being a shitty human being.
Sovereign_of_Books no it doesn't i too have no idea why it is tagged as romance
It really doesn't help how the site is marketing their books to the female audience, and the choices they make in what books to release a majority of the time. It's very narrow in its scope. The good way to see it is the female audience is choosing a decent bunch out of a sea of the sameness of choices they are familiarized with.
darknightofchaos Thanks God, so I don't need to worry about The MC falling for a guy to whatever gender the MC likes?
Sovereign_of_Books That won't happen until at least 2000ch later...xp If there is romance there's only small excerpts which makes up 0.01% of whole series. Even if MC falls in love it won't take over everything. Life will be the same, MC will still focus on spiritual, mecha piloting and physical training to reach the peak and become the strongest in both strength and authority.
She wants to be king, in order to protect what she holds dear (her mother). None of that dumb romcom nonsense. Even crossdressing, she does it to protect her father's rights. She trains several minio- cough cough I mean comrades. They call her "boss" and revere her. She thinks since they trust her so much, she'll at least pay them back with guidance. Her nature is hegemonic and cool as f x3 I love her.
Did I mention her life story is basically courting life and death? She seems to be cursed in doing so, fighting enemies too strong for her and pushing herself to the brink when leveling up. In the government, someone is planning conspiricies to get rid of her. A great deal of messy domestic politics will be deeply involved after she graduates from military school.
The world is set in a futuristic, sci-fi, mecha, space militant setting. Star wars- cough cough galaxy wars are a common occurence. The world and technologies being described are immersive, especially the battle scenes! Hooey, the author writes exciting ones! x3 Though being a military-focused novel, it can be patriotic when involving other nations. If you put that aside, there's not much to fuss about. I don't read it for the patriotism anyways. xp
At first I was a skeptic too, like "sigh, another cliche gender bender =-=". but when I actually read it, I was like "this is what I've been looking forrrr forrreverrr!" and started crying.
With that being said, I hate how Webnovel systematically categorizes every Female lead novel as romance.
:[ grrr. Romance is far from describing this!! (`Д´) ! (`Д´) !
Lazy_Scorpio "Still a lot of MCs sometimes cause themselves trouble from their own attitudes when it could have been avoided."
Please, Male MC's have this problem more. And often to extreme lengths of "I must stay lowkey unless a random person pisses me off in the next chapter, then I'll reveal my secret for all to see of course."
jyuudi i hate gender blenders
Well I did notice a steady trend of traditional romance features, especially CEO Romances in the past few weeks. I'm a BL, fantasy, action, adventure, historical fiction writer and reader by nature. I'll only read a traditional romance in a review swap. Otherwise, I'll shun it since the last romances I attempted to read (to pique my curiosity about all the hoohaa) glorified domestic violence in some scenes. I'm not a big fan of those types of stories.
I don't really care about female/male oriented novels as long as you can filter stuff you do not like and who cares if a top list is filled with novels I dont like as long as I can continue to read what I do like.
That being said, I do have a sort of explanation for this phenomenon. Since the female oriented books are picked first when I want to get more daily SS on the "what's next", I just click whatever pops up, same as I did when there were only a "what's next" that didn't care about male or female oriented, I dont care about them I just want my stones. And I believe I'm hardly alone in doing so. :partly_sunny:
