      Hi! Not sure if we have PM here, I'm new at the site. I read the first two chapters of your book. You write well, and the world building seems pretty solid. The only thing I can think of that might be turning off potential readers is how you described the childbirth? I'm really not sure, though, that's the only thing I can think of. We seem to be from the same country, but clarify with me later if I'm wrong:

                                                          Elude It's indeed unfortunate. I think most people dismiss the genre on the spot just because they've never read anything like it, so they can't imagine why it'd be interesting to read.

                                                          And it's double unfortunate, because one of my goals with this story is to show how this genre CAN be done. But, it's hard to convince people when they don't even want to give it a try.

                                                              DarkClaymore I just remembered how, when I tried watching the anime Chihayafuru, I didn't even know what the hell karuta was. Two seasons and a manga binge later, I'm a freaking expert. I'm sure there'll be people who will give it a try if the storytelling is handled well :)
