Hmm if its just 27 DEC +8 GMT i would assume the end of the day is 27 Dec 23:59, right ?
so basically everything on 28 Dec 00:00 shouldn't be counted.

well depending on the SQL Query the votes of 28 Dec 00:00 are included or not (-)
not sure if someone did vote at this time or not...just my comment to the time problem D: didn't read every comment ....

i don't have permission to edit my own post :'D

of course its different if they say 27 Dec 24:00
it would mean for me 28 Dec 00:00 would be included...

well QI should do a better job in declaring the rules :'D

I agree, competitions for Translators/Editors should be separate from Reader competitions. Otherwise, in any popularity competition it is extremely probable that the TL/Ed would win since they have the most readily available exposure. This is only common sense!

It's disappointing, but not surprising, that Qidian is rigging the competition. It has long been apparent that Qidian lacks an ethical compass.

As far as the time is concerned:
Under the 24-hour clock system, the day begins at midnight, 00:00, and the last minute of the day begins at 23:59 and ends at 24:00, which is identical to 00:00 of the following day.

      So Dec 27 24:00 GMT +8 = Dec 28 00:00 GMT +8

When it is listed as 24:00 it signifies the complete day, i.e. All of Dec 27th.

Hello @KingBiBiK , as you may known that Jan 1st was the new year holiday and it was hard for us to do an comprehensive investigation. Currently, we have back to office and re-query the database over again by using the time in GMT+8 (2017-12-20 02:33:42 [when we created the post] to 2017-12-28 00:00:00 [the ending] ) and get the details of like vote, please check out the following:

PS: Some one may prefer to use Dec 27 23:59:59, you can also check out the detail list. There is no more votes beyond the 23:59:59

According to the final calculation, the final result doesn’t changed too much. We just hope this raw data could give you more sense about the event period. Aside of that, to anyone who suspect the final result, you can easily to check out the like list by click the “XX others like this” in certain posts.

well i agree that there should be a separate events/contest in regards for the readers and the translator/editors and as for the time that you guys are talking about, im too is a little confuse but looking at what @WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL post it might bee base on their time zone i guess.

all in all its the first contest and clearly its not perfect theres a lot of loopholes in it that needs improving

so maybe hoping nextime it would be much much more of a really professional contest/events

Happy new year, it is good to know that we all start a new year with a "BANG".

Just a friendly reminder, people do not forget things, they will keep it in their head until the time is right and then booom.
            Shits explode.

Honestly, I quite like QI ideas to make this competition, its just the execution is a bit lacking. Make sure to learn a lesson from this ocassion, lots of your action is already controversials.

lastly just saying AT THE BEGINNING WHEN everyone i mean READERS/TRANSLATORS/EDITORS first posted their piece for the contest there was no problem, no one compliant of whether you are a READER/TRANSLATOR/EDITOR. it was just fine everybody are just having fun competition there might be some fierce competition going on but all in all it was okay.

So why is it that in the end theres alot of comments/critics/opinions/sentiments and problems surfacing.

                Thanks for your reply.

You have further trying to prove my post. I do not want to believe you are irresponsible that you cannot even use the proper time for a competition that involves 5k as a reward. Which makes it open to conspiracy theories. You are really adamant on your stand.

Based on all your post it is mentioned in multople places that the competition ends on 27 Dec 2017 (GMT +8). Like given below. Which equates to London Time (GMT +/- 0) time Dec 2017 16:00. Which you yourself has confirmed.

WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL A great big thank you to everyone for participating! After careful verification, the results of the contest are as follows:

With the competition ending at midnight 27 Dec 2017 (GMT+8), the final score is:

KingBiBiK WEBNOVEL Yes so Dec 27 24:00 GMT +8 is the same as

London time 4:00 PM Dec 27. Right?

                WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL KingBiBiK I think so, it's 16:00 London time

WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL Lastly, I suppose the reason why you guys are unsatisfied is also because of the result auditing. I saw Alew complains about the time issues. Let me give you guys more details about how we calculate the final result. Firstly, as the announcement we have mentioned, the length of the competition will start from 20 Dec 2017 - 27 Dec 2017(GMT+8). It means we will calculate the result in Dec 27, 24:00 GMT+8.

I do not have to bring any more evidence but I can say for sure the data you provided is based on the time of GMT +/- 0 or in simpler words London Time. Anyone who voted for me, Alew or meh can check.

IF you are a good observer you can notice Alew's vote count stops nearly at 15:31. (Before the London time for end time)
Mine is different because people vote for me, not my friends.

But post 9 Jai1001 is my brother and he only created that account at 9:27 AM EST (GMT -5) so that equates to (GMT +/- 0) time 14:27 or (GMT +8) 22:27.

You can also notice about 12 likes of Meh came after 16:00. (78 - 12 < 71 = point to be noted)

@Alew this is your place to prove. Most of your friends I believe only came to the forum to vote, so show the screenshots of the time they visited the forum. You should be in GMT +5.

I do not have anything to gain from building up a conspiracy theory or intentionally slandering you @WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL.com. You provide so many good things for us and I was hoping you will be truthful or responsible with the evidence.

(Also it is really weird for a data that should not have changed to have something different everytime you post.)
                WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL

                WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL

                and todays post

WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL Tugster its end up at 24: 00. Thats how data comes from. It doesn't matter when we post the announcement. Even if we announce the result one year later, the data only counts the given time range instead of all likes being count.

Thanks for your pointer. But I have already mentioned that subtly. I did the reply fast so its not the optimal words lol.

I was saying forum users continued to like my post without knowing the time is up. While Alew's count stopped right before the end time.

                  Thanks again.

KingBiBiK Honestly there's not point in arguing with them. They literally give zero shits about anyone in the community, evidenced by the whole fiasco with WXW. They've done this time and time again. They act like dirtbags then twist their words to try to appease the community and justify their behaviour. It's sickening, and more people need to call them out on it. I don't fault the translators, per say (except CKTalon, for his, uh, overzealous defending of QI when they're pretty much clearly in the wrong), but the whole webnovel site is just a poorly managed shitshow made on lies and deceptions.

Tugster they mean that it wouldn't be surprising for them to delete this thread, considering their credibility
