1) will the auctioneers be able to identify the source of this new soul essence created by the Little Loach Pendant as artificial?
2) are Magical Beasts and the Little Loach Pendant doing the same thing with Soul Remnants, refining the souls of those they kill and eat to evolve?

The Little Loach is just ensuring Mo Fan spends his essence wisely. I can't help but wonder what benefits boosting the seven summoning stars would provide? It's obvious now why the ancient mages were so much more powerful, they didn't have magic tools to spend their Soul Essences on. I wonder how powerful a star atlas would be after feeding its 49 stars.
With four elements to feed Minion Soul Essence to it will be a long haul to get powerful this way. Looks like it's time to eliminate some Magical Beast hordes!

This chapter is a preparation for next chapter where Mo Fan will meet Mu Ningxue (guessing she is Imperial City University team captain), and provide an apology to the readers for the ruthless attitude Mo Fan is going to exhibit when he exchanges notes. I am curious how far Mu Ningxue and Mo Fan are willing to go when up against each other. Mu Ningxue knows Mo Fan is a dual element Mage, but I suspect she is not aware he now has four elements not three. I wonder if she will warn her teammates and more importantly what is her second element?

Good news, bad news. Versatile Mage is a comic now on https://www.webnovel.com/comic/11610241506441101, but after 20 free chapters it goes premium at a whopping 13 SS's per chapter. That being said the graphics are great and the storyline develops quickly similar to the anime series I posted a link to at the start of this thread.

    BattleLord for the anime we have to admit the animation quality especially the fighting and some characters designs are bad,though i still enjoy watching it somehow,the manga is much better at delivering details and the quality is amazing

      I don't mind being patient and enjoying the story at one or two chapters a day. After all, there will eventually be an end to the story and after that, nothing left to savour. I guessing that Mo Fan will get two new elements when he graduates to full Mage. I am thinking Dark Magic and possibly a defence element like water.
