I feel that the world is empty I feel no connection and very little emotion with everything I have encountered so far (I have been through many troubles despite my age and I may get emotional for a moment but it leaves quickly). This is the reason I watch anime/read novels it is the only thing that provides me with a familiar happiness.
Do you think it is possible for cultivators to exist in real life?
I think in ancient times there were practice ing martial arts they boby would be strong as steel and they could even crush boulders
I am sure that cultivation in the modern world is possible:
- sleep management (Carlos Castaneda)
- breath control (Qigong)
- the exit of the mental entity and its journey (Sri Arubindo Ghosh "Integral Yoga")
- the formation of a magical look - Zen practice and Chan Buddhism (only philosophy and practice)
If you are a good person, you can cultivate your spirit, it can become stronger, I am doing good things, helping the weak, sick, and weak. Stop being greedy, follow the path of enlightenment.
There are many methods and practices in the world that can cultivate muscle strength and spiritual strength, psychological strength.
Probably these techniques are used in rapid reaction forces and special forces.

In reality, yes, there are cultivators, even at the present times, cultivation manuals disappeared in the public due to some rules set by ancient times, as what you said, The Era of Discord, it actually happened. Earth was once the most prominent realm in the universe, we are the center of prominence and we hold the power to rule all of the existence, the milky way was called Heavey Prayers of Existence, the Mercury Venus Mars Jupiter Saturn Uranus is its vassal state, but something happen, Era of Discord i wont elaborate, but in the history books of the records of the old, it says that the universe was engulfed in a all out war between races, be it the gods or the demons, they all fought for something that will lead them to higher realms though i say earth was the master of the universe at that time, unknown to the people, there existed a realm much higher than we do have, this realm was called by the people Tabulan Realm* fast forward, the earth was sealed from its former glory and all of the universe was sealed or destroyed, tho the scientific community saya that the universe is expanding, the truth is that the universe is repairing its lost prestige. And wanted a comeback.
The good news is, some of the old ancestor from that time and era is still alive, tho hibernating and repairing their spiritual bodies.
Like why cultivation manuals resources was sealed? It is to make the earth ready for the comeback, with the old and knowledgeable gone, who will make good use of the resources.
Theres still cultivators? Yes, though if it is scaled in a 100 million there is only 5-10, depending on a country, this few people are direct lineages from the past, and if u somewhat stumbled upon a manual or eat some fruit (u know what i mean) u better hide it till u have great power.
Additional: there is also weak cultivators who aren't part of the originala *direct lineages, but they're the weakest of the weak, dont feel almighty if u somewhat become powerful. Those direct lineages are deep hidden, not even those weakass cultivators knows of their existence, much less the government.

We must not let our past repeat for I fear, the last pieces of our former glory be forever lost in the vastness of space and time, and us with it.

DaoBart Actually I know they exist and came across some also i am not supposed to say this... but.. they theoretically do exist. I am gonna be vague for certain reasons. They exist.. but differently.. well I might as well reveal some.. you know shaolin monks? it's a type of cultivation. That's all I am gonna say.

Yuyumamoru worry not, i already initiated the restart of the old ways, and where already in phase 6 out of 15, the planet will undergo vast changes in these coming phases especially phase 7, my identity as a mundane being will not be threatened, tho i am not using most of my powers, but i guarantee you, even a thermal nuclear missile won't t do me any harm.
This actions of mine is of contrary to these direct lineages, i grew tired of boredom and it is part of a will i promised to that man.

Pleasedeteme Through your Lordship's teaching, I have received enlightenment. After scanning Buddha's Four Noble Truths and the Three Universal Truths. Though small, I've come to look at the world slightly different. To love oneself is harder than to love another but it may be what I was lacking.
I will not say that the world is no longer dull or numb but, there are at least the pale colors of my own path. Though murky and unsteady, I have started to climb out of my rut and experience something I could call 'life'. Whether it be the small joys of the sun, the smell of fresh rain, or the little moments of bliss, I have learned to accept and cherish. Though the my path is still unclear, I thank the Lordship for being a definitive marker along the way.
It may be that, even these fleeting moments of ours right now will be forgotten in the passing of time but nevertheless, they were valuable.

Yuyumamoru Look mortal... Lao Tzu is another example... he sat down on a table with Buddah and another dude. They we're offered the juice of life. Buddah said why would he drink something he wanted to escape so badly? it causes suffering.
The other guy tried a bit and said Buddah was right.
Lao Tzu took the bottle and drunk in one whole gulp. He became drunk and started dancing like a mad man. After he finished he sat down peacefully.

Yes to OP. But, not in the sense of these silly novels. One must understand that there is tons of radiation on Earth. While this is toxic for normal humans, one out of every million or so has obtained a different type of DNA. While it is risky even for them, their cells can harvest the energy of these toxic substances. Which allows for their bodies to be exposed for a longer amount of time. Now the scary part about radiation is that it can change DNA. And, it's important to note that not all change is bad, most of it is though. But, even amount normal humans, there are cases were being exposed to this helped the human though it is important to note that even in the humans that have had some benefits from random exposure, the overall effects are negative. For example, most of them cannot reproduce.
Cultivators are now learning about how to use radiation to target parts DNA and to unlock the limitless gifts that have been given to us by the genetic loto.
While it is not about overcoming the Heavens, in a way it is about unlocking the heavens.
Acutelittletrap tho technically human dna can be change through scientific engineering, and often if not, they are able to create something that is beneficial, but in majority of these changes are negatives. Tho there are filthy rich individuals researching "Human Genetic Engineering: Through Radiation" 97% die on the spot and the remaning fractions dies later on,. As for the cultivators, yes, some have tried, andl some are still doing it, tho it gives visible changes and visible upgrade to their strength, it is still superficial. But, i'll tell u this, radio active experimentations are not more productive than those fogies experementing on nuclear fission and fusion, i even visited 3 LHC facilities (in secret, just leave it at this forum) they are about to have a breakthrough on the item called Chanelling... If you have sufficient power and money, go buy nuclear silo, go there and research build some damn formation, harness that power.

I grow mango trees, maize plants, cabbages, apple trees and tomatoes! I even have some dairy cows to milk. I don't know about the immortality part, but all my harvest gives me good health and, likewise, a longer lifespan!
Pleasedeteme enlightenment varies on ur own perspective, one can attain the enlightenment to become evil or good, but in reaching the apex, one needs to be understanding, in truth, there is no true good nor evil, it is the understanding and perspective that defines the quality of a being... (I quote: Who judge good from evil if the perspective is bias? God? Which God?)
Tho i say about perspective, the definition is also of truth, there is no 1 truth or 2 truths, but the understanding of how, why, what, is the purpose of existence, (this paragraph is for those who wanted to attain enlightenment in a smaller realm level* of cultivation.
I say this, everything can be the Truthyou seek of, but also it can be the contradiction of truth, it will still be your perspective and the things u truly wanted, u can be a devil or an angel, no one is yo judge ur perspective, but you,.
