It blows my mind how the world has changed recently. It used be that everything made sense. But I am lost in this unfamiliar landscape.
Been writing my novel for about 4+ months now. At least 1 chap every single day. And I love reading comments from my readers, both positive and negative, but sometimes I see something that just blows my mind.
There are people giving 1 star reviews regardless of any of the five factors, simply because they do not like how the story is progressing.
They see a novel in Eastern Fantasy section, read it, and then get mad when its actually Eastern Fantasy. Like what is a guy supposed to do here?
Ya'll need to understand something man, if you don't like the genre, DON'T READ THE NOVEL TAGGED AS SUCH!
It's retarded that I actually have to rant about this.

    People will flame because a novel has a System in it when there is a big "SYSTEM" in the title. Harem-haters gonna hate if there is a harem, Harem-lovers gonna hate too if there is no harem. I don't know if you have done it, but I advise you to add some tags. I don't know why, but those blue words sometimes catch the eyes of those people and they understand that it may not be for them.
    But nonetheless, you will have some 1-star reviews regardless of what you do. The only novels that don't have those are some premium novels because they are all so great COUGH deleted reviews COUGH. So, if you see a 1-star review, just ignore it completely if it doesn't make any sense. But if it really points some enormous issues in your work, maybe it's not the reader's fault.

        Because there's not way to punish troll-reviews.

        Which sucks since they could partially automate it. If there's 100 chapters with 'safsb.nncxcn,cnxcn-cnx-cnx' nonsense as wall of text, 1 k per block, one block published per day. That should get a 1,5,1,1,1 review or you have a drive by shooting by a troll.

        It's so ridiculously easy to match daily updates against the corresponding review-star.

          There will be more negative reviews cause now you have to review a novel everyday for exp. No one definitely reads that many novel that he would review each everyday. There will be some random novels that get reviewed just for the exp

            Innovation If he was actually pointing something out, that'd be a different thing. But the guy literally said "why did you do this instead of that" and compared mine to another novel lol.

                Qwertg Good to know Qidian is going out of its way to pull this crap. Really makes me think twice about continuing here.

                    shinigami8671 They actually aren't going out of their way. I just update my reviews based on new chapters and it counts for the daily thing... People will find any excuse to justify their actions...

                        I tried a couple stories on royalroadl a few of the reviews were of a positive nature. Some were neutral. A few were trolls. Some were nasty single star reviews without any words except garbage written in capital letters. If there is a negative review I don't mind it so much as long as it's something to build off of to improve upon. However people are people and the internet helps to show what's really inside those people they can speak without inhibitions. That causes the worst in some people to show through.
