Did you know that kangaroos' movement isn't jump, they salt. Saltation, Hopping, or Leaping is different from jumping.
It describes jump this way: "If you jump, you bend your knees, push against the ground with your feet, and move quickly upwards into the air."
You remain perfectly in one direction, Which is vertical direction or upwards/downwards. So, Uniformly Accelerated Motion in Vertical Dimension is applied here. You enter a state of freefall, which of the gravity pull of the Earth is a constant 9.8m/s2
By the way, Their jumping height is awesome too.
Red kangaroos regularly leap 5ft (1.5m), and their highest jumps are said to be around 10ft (3m). That is about on a par with impalas, but not as high as the bounciest hares and jackrabbits.

A parabolic motion, Which relates to the Newton's laws of motion. Assume that you are a projectile, But there's no gravity, Does your speed increases or remain constant?
