  • #BTS 6th Anniversary Support Event in Webnovel!

I'm feeling bad to the authors whose novels are a gem but it stays undiscovered. A few fanfics (not all of them, like noctiferu? and Chryiss? ♡) in the top ranks are only there because they are popular and have a huge fan base and not because their novel is actually good.

I heard there was even one novel that was already published before the competition but it was reposted so it can join the competition (well, I don't know if it's true but you get my point).

I thought I could finally have the courage to join future webnovel competitions but at this point, I lost all my trust. Cheers though (:

InfinitelyYours I feel ya. This is my third time entering a contest, and I've gotten better each time. The first time I didn't even qualify because I didn't realize you needed 10K words and was still new to the whole PS vote thing. The second was good, but I wasn't a well known author nor am I still now. The only reason why I have 20K views on my BTS fic is due to chapters and having written it for two weeks now.

So in short, it sure is difficult since the well known authors usually do win. But that doesn't mean others can't rise up too. I've seen some make good debuts through contests. The part I lost the trust in was the counting of votes. However, the world doesn't end. I'm okay with lower ranks. Weirdly enough I was more interesting in getting to visit Seoul than I was BTS. XD I've already seen one concert of theirs (balcony seats tho heh).

That reminds me. I'm guessing second prize which is 3 people means 2nd to 4th place. And the third prize is 6 people meaning 5th to 10th place right?

Just want to double check because now I aim for the third prize. XD

Though im not undermining everyones work, i know fully well that my writing is not on par with the unsupported authors, but i dont see any problem on non-army voting and voting for authors you already knew of....

I mean isnt the purpose of this competiton to spread awareness about bts? If we limit the votings to bts fans only its like we are closing the possibility of new comers to join our fandom among the many non-army voting the possibility that some of them will be curious and give the group a try is high...

As for the hidden gems in the newest section, its kinda awful how everyone seems to complain about it, Even if its good if its not advertised how do everyone expect it to be read? There are tons of authors and books out there we cant expect every readers to browse every synopsis and book out there, the possibility of that is low. People read to relax, some of them also has limited reading time therefore expect them to spend time reading what they already knew and like than spend more time on searching every fics for a gem. If you want votes please do make effort to advertise your book thats the key to gaining more votes.

Also please stop the hate and doubt on other authors, not all of them are creating accounts, they work and wrote hard on their books, thats the reason they gained popularity, acknowledgement and has readers willing to vote for them. Stop discouraging them by blaming them!

For this competiton let us spread positivity and not negativity!

Instead of complaining to webnovel about tiny problems, shouldnt we thank them instead by organizing a good event for our idols?

Well i just wanna say my opinion and again im not undermining anyones work, let us get along everyone and stop the hate.

      Thank you!

So BTS aside. I don't think people would complain if they didn't see a reason for complaint. I think it's valid to ensure a fair chance. If people are not perceiving that, then they have the right to voice it.

If a contract author or non contract author won on their story's merit and the readers love of their story, I'd have nothing to say. It has been that way in the past comps before Noah. No one has complained, at least not that I've noticed.

Since Noah, slowly a pattern of unevenness or even underhandedness has been perceived.

Webnovel needs to reassure us that contests are progressing according to rules, which are non bias. They need to jump in and provide advice and reassurance on this NOW! before it becomes a carnage.

I'm all for people voting for stories they like.

When it seems to be a minority is rigging the system unfairly or even against T&C, it's the injustice people want to be sure is being dealt with.

This is the vibe and some type of comments I'm seeing.

      noctiferu

Ofcourse we can consider other authors too, but speaking about the hypothetical situation even if an author says "please vote for us fairly" to his/her fans what are the chances that the fans will vote for the other side?

Hmmmm lemme say your given a chance to vote between exo and bts, and ofcourse our lovely boys will say to give everyone a fair chance, because we are fans ofcourse we would still vote for our favorites.

And what we joined is a competition, and every competiton has a factor that plays a major role, fans, writing and so on.

And for an author to become big have you considered what they've gone to before they arrived to where they are currently?

We also can't assume that the other hasnt made any effort unless they clearly state it, im sorry about that if you dont agree, its just that in my profession we have this motto that we should never assume unless otherwise stated. They must be busy with something important or you may be right but youll never know since we dont know the author personally.

Baseless assumptions sow discord. Also we are not entitled to any special rights, we can make suggestions and recommendation but its too much if we complain, since an event is created to entertain and not actually part of their services.

So to demand a company to explain why the event is not going the way you want it to be is pretty rude or change the rules to suit everyones taste is a no no. I repeat the way is to suggest and recommend not demand or complain.

We joined a FREE competition, we never paid any fee to join so we dont hold any right to complain majorly. The company doesnt owe us anything. Even though we are consumers we still receive an item equivalent to what we paid for and majority are free users. Do the calculations income will surely be less while expenses is big from advertisement, holding events to search for new talents, wages of contracted author and their main employees.

We are here to be evaluated, have you ever saw a person complaining because they are being evaluated?. Take everything as a test, strive to overcome the diffuclties, search for other paths to take and the reward will surely be fruitful.

Being vocal about something will surely get you heard, but being vocal is not the answer to everything. After all action speaks louder than words...

Stating again, this my opinion and im not expecting you to conform to my words and ideals. Im just answering to explain my point of view.

WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL Hello is it just me or did this event disappear from the main page? Can you add it back? Because some people will likely forget it now that you can only access the link from the forum. Thanks!

Good luck to anyone joining! Never imagined webnovel having a BTS event haha this is so awesome. :D

It states there that the writing competiotion ends on 27 May. So if like I entered the competition already but have not finish updating all the chapters, can I still update the chapters after 27 May?

FangirlLostInCrowd yes you can. Only the competition is will be over by the 27th, meaning that no one can vote AB for your story anymore and the results will come out.

ShoktMeNoSleep Thanks! But when you change the preference to Female Leading it shows all the current event banners (BTS Anniv., MLBB, and Writing Competition) but when it's on Male Leading only MLBB and Writing Competition show up. I personally prefer male leading stories so I guess it would be nice to have the event banner for bts on there too.

DaoEternal I have the same problem as you, i prefer male leading too. So when the banner disappeared i actually panicked XD after fidling for a while i stumbled at the reading preference and finally made it appear 😂

Hello! I'm new to this platform, but I hope y'all can check out my story! It's called i love you in a thousand unsaid ways. I think the title's quite self explanatory, but the overall plot of it is that you're a manager of BTS, and over the years, you've become very close with them. It's not really a full on romance, but there is love between the manager and BTS. Tbh it's a story of what I wish I can do for BTS, so it kinda falls into an ARMY's perspective as well.

Goodluck to everyone in this contest! c:

madeforv I'm also posting this to my tumblr, madeforv.tumblr.com, and possibly continue it over there as well. c:
