I have 11k reads on my story (gained 100 in about 6 hours) but only 2 votes (not including the 2 I accidentally did and don't know how to delete), no power stones (whatever those are), no reviews, no comments. Nothing that shows people are actually engaged. And the inkstone has no way for me to see if these are people reading my story or just clicking then clicking off. I'm so confused.

I am new here and don't even know if 11k is low, medium, good, or meh. Obviously it's not as good as the ones ranking with millions of views. But man, I have no clue if I even have an audience!

lenapresents they are reading your novel... i've had chapter 1 posted and after just minutes i get some comments already... depends on the readers actually... most of them are silent ones... and they're just waiting for you to give them more chaps... so keep writing and gl...

I'm also an author, my readers never comment or give reviews, only two people gave their reviews.

I have 19.8k views without promoting.

It's very easy to get views above 100k, you just need some popular novel title, like fan-fic, One Piece, Naruto, Reincarnation, God, Emperor, system, CEO.

these type of titles attract a lot of readers, Original authors with original titles have a tough time getting exposers.

lenapresents Going by views alone gives a poor estimate of readership. It gives some idea, but collections is typically the best because those are the people who bothered to stick it into their library. (Also, lots of bot scrapers on the site will add a lot of empty views, and viewing the story page counts as a view which also over-inflates actual reading of the chapters.) Most readers are silent ones, so comments will likely be infrequent with reviews even more so, but interacting with readers help. That can be through a question posted in the A/N at the end, or simply by responding to the comments you do get. Power stones are a funny one. There are silent voters too, and then some readers who comment more (or have it in their library too) don't even vote lol. Unless you're getting hundreds of PS a week, they don't seem to benefit the story in terms of exposure. Of course, it's a nice feeling when readers like a story enough to vote. (:

As for LGBTQ, it's fairly sparse in terms of titles, but there's definitely an audience on here for it. Like any other readers, they can both be active and vocal, or quiet. From the extent I've seen, the genre is gaining some traction, but it's still very niche/not mainstream or popular like other genres aka ceo romance and cultivation or system. So you'll be joining as one of the pioneers for the genre. XD

Been my problem too since I began joined WN last Feb then I start writing until I make it full-time by April till now... I have lot of views but no comments then one or two. Am not really promoting so I have no reviews that much. Then somehow, they began coming out now and am glad as long as they seems love the chapter and feels they were comfortable to talk to you. And since I love to talk to them we're Now began interacting.

lenapresents same prblm here..can please anyone what to do ..what's the matter..I am having 12.5k views on my novel but no reviews, no comments and no ratings..no votes..what to do...???

lenapresents people are sometimes just being a silent reader and yeah, just don't mind it and keep posting.
They probably like your story and just waiting you to post an update, they usually just searching for some hidden gem story though.
          Some of them

lenapresents That was posting today? That's not bad. A word of warning, this site does attract scrappers and aggregators since the cut/paste function isn't blocked here. So, this can boost the views.

You might want to use this link that we tend to use for stats tracking: https://forum.webnovel.com/d/24319-what-is-your-collection-to-views-ratio-2 This is the second version. This is something I use a lot to show me if I'm gaining or loosing readers, whether readers are reading. It's not an exact science, but it's the best we have.

it's been 17 days since I start writing without zero promotions, this is my current stats Is this good or bad? I need feedback I have been feeling a little down lately.

            37 Collection, 20.2K views, 23K Word Count, 17 Chapters.

My main audience or collection are from the US.

This is purely my observations after tracking stats and so forth for a while. Views is just that, views. As in views to a book page.

I have a strong feeling it's calculating on page impressions. That is, number of times a book page is clicked, new visit, return visits, a certain percentage is scrolled (my guess is 1-2% of a page = 1 read), clicked through to another chapter link and so forth. A view is made up of a number of things hence the inflated view count.

              This is just my guess.

A better indicator is collection adds and view increases.
