It's been almost five years since I started reading webnovels.
Started with some lightnovels and then coiling dragon.

I was watching Anime when I found out Manga was a thing.
Was reading Manga when I found out Manhwas/Webtoons were a thing.
Was reading "Tales of Demons and Gods", and when I got caught up I read in the comments section that it was originally a light novel that was way ahead of where the manhwa stopped.
Looked it up and binge read it over a few weeks and discovered that there was a whole World of light novels out there!
Eventually found Webnovel and really liked the idea of being able to comment at the end of each chapter and upvoting things, been here ever since. 
trekt I began reading them when I joined Webnovel lol. Initially, I saw the app in a mobile ad, and I thought it was webcomics like Webtoons. I ignored it for a few times, but after seeing it repeatedly, I thought why not the heck check it out. Even though I was tricked lmao, I continued because the stories were pretty good.
However, before Webnovel, I had tried posting my original story onto Wattpad and Tapastic because I had heard of WP before, and I found Tapas through Webtoons comments. I never read any stories on WP though, and just used it as a publishing site. Of course, I was new to the whole self-publishing and advertising thing, so I failed lol. Eventually. I decided to upload the story to Webnovel after being on the site for a month. And now the same story is on Royal Road and with much better success than here lol.
So in short, it was due to my love for drawing and writing that brought me here to Webnovel. As for what stories made me not delete the app after realizing I was 'tricked', I honestly don't remember. XD

ThrustThunder Woah same. The first webnovel I read was also A Tales of Demons and Gods, which was due to it's uncomplete manga xD
I've watched the 'The King's Avatar' anime season one, I think? But I want more so I searched. Eventually, I've found that Webnovel has the novel where the anime was based on. That's where it started.
Then I've checked the power ranking and tried Library of Heaven's Path. Oh boy, that novel is something you can't put down. I have to buy lots of SS just so that I can binge read it.
Then I've tried another one on power ranking "Full Marks Hidden Marriage". This one was really good too. You can't put it down once you've started.
The next are King of Gods, The Legendary Mechanic, and one original called Reborn: Evolving from Nothing, It's Not Easy To Be a Man, Release That Witch, Soaring of Galaxia, then the one of the best, I Shall Seal the Heavens and Coiling Dragon.
After that, I became a fan of I Eat Tomatoes and Er Gen.
ThrustThunder this is basically how I ended up to this platform.
May 2017. It was a messenger ad. I read the description for Trial Marriage. Since I was a wattpad reader, the female leads I've read are either very docile, hot-tempered, or extremely cold. Then I saw in the description that the lady seemed calm and confident and found it refreshing. So I got baited. Then I realized practically every novels here are like that. But still, I like most female leads better here.
I used to read paperback books on the net when was in school and then from their started reading at fanfiction.net when I was in college and many years after that as well
I came to webnovel last year to read I am Really a Superstar because I heard this controversy about it and thought to check out the novel that sparked so much out of Chinese government

wattpad has gone down the drain (i feel so but not to rain on anyone's parade or step on their toes)
As a kid, I used to read there for werewolf/vampire genre and then for all those cliche romance in a school setting.
I still have the app on my phone but seldom see it these days
Shiksha_Jerath lol same. i'm just staying there to search for good books and see if there's something i can translate although for free.
Just started somewhere in late march or early April 2019 here in webnovel.
Other than that been searching for free ebooks all over the Internet and found some old classic reads.
The one that hooked me here was the fantasy type. However since there weren't much series related ones available, I decided to write my own based on multi genre series based on realistic fiction and fantasy realm.
Not sure if this is your usual cup of tea, I suggest you bombard with me with criticism for the novel which is still in progress since May 29th 2019.

@PaperbackWriter Let me start by saying that I am not trying to pull you down or anything so don't take this the wrong way.
Haven't still read past the first chapter but dear you have a lot of spelling mistakes as well as grammatical error in the synopsis which could turn off a lot of Grammar Nazis

Though I did like that the starting of your sentence had the bane of the app we all are using to read fantastic novels

I randomly download webnovel because I need to pretend reading documents for my job in front of my aunts and uncles. They kept on bothering me about getting married. I'm hooked since that.
My first webnovel was Chu Wang Fei, around 2 years ago. I just recently found this app and I'm addicted to it now.

I read c-novel in WW and other site.
The first novel i ever read was "The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor" and it was the one that hooked me, haven't stopped reading any type of novel since that day and i think it's been a good 6-7 years now

I'm having slight trouble with my phone's dictionary as it changes some text even after some time. Ran it into grammarly and yet it changed a few words not intended for use as well. Can't seemed to reset the phone's dictionary unless I do a hard reset,which I think would bring about adverse effect.
Switch back and forth on which devices I would prefer to work on, my work desk laptop or my smartphone on the bed. LOL...!
Guess I have to stick to Ms Word to write the chapters next. Or best some men from the east side to do the correction wink wink. I'm sure they are good at this kind of things. LOL.
two years ago, but only registered with a little over a year. I used to read novels .wuxiaworld, but there the novel that I read went to this site. And then it turned out more stories. True, then most of them turned out to be premium ...

ThrustThunder It's so funny, that's the same process I went through. I started out with cliche romance anime and then moved onto sports anime and then I read Skip Beat Manga because there wasn't a lot of anime episodes and then I read Combat Continent novel because there wasn't alot of the manga
And then I discovered wuxia novels and female revenge stories and gaming stories and fantasy stories.
