TGIF is the only regular communication done by webnovel's staff.

Would it be possible to add a section on the thread to compute issues with contracted authors' and translators' jobs?

I explain, many novels are on hiatus or simply dropped, with no communication at all. The schedules' releases aren't always respected. When the staf realizes there are problems, I assume they try to fix them. You decently can't ask us to pay for half-done jobs.

A post saying: "we saw there's a problem with "xxx" novel release, we've contacted author/translator, the release will be resume in yyy days/weeks; we couldn't contact the author/translator, 1) you're investigating the status of the novel (original), 2) in yyy days/weeks, the translation will be took care by a new translator, the release will be resume in zzz days/weeks (translated)", something like it.

As TGIF is weekly, it would be a good way to communicate this kind of information to the readers, today left in the dark.

ludo2776 I think you misunderstand how this all works. Releases for originals are not controlled by WN at all, and I don't think there is a minimum release limit on translations (only a max to prevent overtaking the original language release). In most cases, the schedules are defined by the ones publishing, not the company. Please try to understand how a system works before you criticize it.

A new Fan-fic tab on the app. Haha, that's how popular they are now I guess, especially since they're the only ones not at risk of being contracted.

At first, before I checked it out, I laughed to myself about the timing. I had just changed mine from fan-fic to realistic fiction (which really is more suitable anyway) after seeing the complaints about BTS and kpop stuff swamping the fan-fics (which I don't see since none of the top in any of the lists are either, but for the New section, yes for duration of the contest which was poor on WN's part to allow/encourage that). But, not a single one outside of anime/manga are in that new fan-fic section, well, except for Harry Potter. :joy: I also like the structure of that new section too. It looks pretty cool. So I'm doubly glad that I changed the genre for the slight chance that I ever appear on that tab which displays the books rather hugely. I can see the hate messages roll in if that ever for the case for any kpop fic lol!
