Face_Smacking_Dao That is another good point. If I want to give $5 a month to support my favorite translator I cannot do that because everything is tied to the word count the translator pumps out. I feel this to be a problem for the actual quality too. From what I understand this pay model is similar to the model they use in China. This does not encourage quality, edited content. It just pushes both the authors, translators, and editors to pump out as much as possible as quickly as possible without a lot of quality control. I used to wonder why some webnovels were so tedious to read, going on for thousands of chapters with constant repetition and very little development from chapter to chapter, but now I can clearly see why this happens. The more fluff you add to your novel the more it can be monetized under the pay per word model.

      Face_Smacking_Dao yep that's also my problem with this system. Either you put loads of money into QI or none at all. After premium chapter purchase you would have to wait for free chapters to catch up again to continue reading. So if I only have a limited amount of money (no whale), I would have to wait either way, then I'd be dumb to waste money on premium chapters.
      I wouldn't be against it if you'd get a permanent bonus chapter, ahead of the free chapters, so you still get a steady flow of chapters after a puchase.

          I can check in everyday and read other novels, i won't spend my SS just in case if I need it in the premium chapters
