add more payment options
shelwyn I don't need you to remind me that.
You got any problem?
When I talked about art,
You heard about cart,
Then you started talking how I talked about fart.
If you got money, feel free to spend it. I did not say not to. What I want to do with my money is up to me. I may buy or may not buy depending on the story.
Information We Collect on the Service:
User-provided Information. When you use the Service, we may collect information about you, including your name, gender, email address, mailing address, phone number, **credit card** or other billing information, your date of birth, geographic area, or preferences and we may link this information with other information about you. You may provide us with information in various ways on the Service. For example, you provide us with information when you register for an account, use the Service, make a purchase on the Service, or send us customer service-related requests.
Actually they do collect your credit card information, says so right there. It does not specify exactly though it does say billing information so maybe they only mean credit card billing information? And it's just a typo that they put and in the middle because they didn't translate properly?
Oh I'm sorry I didn't know everyone had to agree with the "great" suggestion. I will not comment on these types of forums anyways I have been told I am too aggressive, so I will turn a blind eye and let people drown in their own fantasy desires.
Flaffy I might be wrong. I only use the mobile site so when I make a transaction the only way to pay is PayPal. I know for a fact PayPal keeps records but I never directly gave quidan any payment info like debit card numbers they probabaly have my billing address and name though.
It might be different on android app and IOS and desktop site even so it's hard for me to say. I'd assume android and IOS go through Google pay and Apple store respectively and they keep the payment information as well.
shelwyn If you actually do read, you will see my initial post says a similar thing about paypal and how it would be liable if it gave out my info. But as you know, this thread is not about paypal it's about other forms of payment so let's stay on track yeah? Does qidian offer google pay and apple pay? I have never bought anything so.... I literally don't know, but I was never talking about them so.
SORRY IF THAT WAS TOO AGGRESSIVE, I DO NOT KNOW ANY OTHER WAY TO SAY IT WHEN YOU ASSUME AND DO NOT READ WHAT I SAY FULLY

Flaffy I don't understand why your posting here in this thread then. If you don't know any of this why flame me lol?
PayPal is regulated it's not just some online company like back in the day ten years ago. You can trust them with your payment info I'd say a bit less than you would trust a bank at this point.
The same goes to Google store and Apple store.
Well the original post says he wants more options other than. PayPal so there are other options and I mentioned them. He might not know of them so I'm here talking about that. What are you doing here?
Heavenly_Ant will do.Franklu, payment implement is way more complicated, especially in global basis. I suggest you can use App ans purchsing by IAP. In that case, Apple and Google help developers completed many things in backend. No need to sign agreement with each single local payment channle nor redesign the credit card payment risk control system.
shelwyn You are the one who responded ot my post, not the other way around, I am flaming you because you assumed that I was lying and spreading false info, so I gave you a quote to prove my innocence to which you respond with some random other payments that I never mentioned so who is doing what here bud?
I never said you couldn't trust PayPal, I said if anything paypal will be liable for giving out info, never said they would do it, please don't assume i say anything I did not write, this is the third time you have done so, please stop.
I was originally here, with my original post, to inform users that they should read the terms before they just jump into things.
New payment options may need to be added to the policy, I am not sure, but qidian never spells things out so I am here to give people the other possible outcome since no one ever wants to believe something bad will happen. I am not here for you and it was you who came here and said something to me! do not forget
AGAIN NOT BEING AGGRESSIVE YOU CAME TO ME, AND I AM DEFENDING MY STATEMENTS
Arch I don't know these people for which you speak, but maybe you should ask em. I never once even thought a translator should be allowed to sell another persons work, let alone get copyrights to it for translating.
But this is going down a dark path, so I will not say anymore about that.
And again I say, to people, stop assuming I know something that I never talked about.
Please, it's getting a little old when people keep assuming random shit I never said, referenced, or spoke out about. Thanks.
I DO NOT INTEND TO BE AGGRESSIVE I AM DEFENDING MY STATEMENTS AND EXPRESSING MY DISCOMFORT, PLEASE FORGIVE ANY OFFENSE
Flaffy Industry practices, my dear, industry practices. As for policy, I heard they heard your voice, but it's Qidian, took them half a year to proceed to the next step, let's see when it'll come.
Also, it's not getting a little old. Before becoming vocal about something, you should do your own research. What is the business practices of the other giants in the translation sites? What are people used to? Now, you broaden your horizon, what is being done in a multitude of sites with subscription model, or you can just go to facebook and twitter, how much of your information is being sold? It's funny. The moment you enter the internet, your information is already a product being bought over.
The big translation sites has always used paypal as the medium to pay their translators and editors, to receive donations from fans. There are other methods, yes, but paypal is the most prevalent, not to mention patreon. I don't have any idea why do you even bother about your argument in this post. Paypal is proven, paypal is what people are used to, QI will add more functions, but it will take time, so they prioritize what is already being used in the industry.

Arch Right I am not going to do a deep dive on research for coming up with a practical business plan for a company I am not employed by, that is a drastic time dump. I have a day job and plenty other things to worry about, So I drop my 2 cents and go.
If I say "Customer Service needs to be better" people go "dont just complain give a solution!! so I make a suggestion and then some person like you comes along and says I am being negative for doing it.
If I ask questions about policy agreement and payments and possible gaps in legal jargon, I get people like you and shelwyn asking me all kinds of question and you never answered mine.... like huh? My original post had a question and you could clearly see I was confused, but shelwyn comes along telling me what the policy does and does not say like I cannot read, so I have to respond.
I never said I was an expert and unless I get paid for it I have no reason to be one, I just think things can be better and when I suggest how, this is what I get. Before you get all wound and shiz I already said I wasn't gonna say anymore about this kind of stuff so could you please just stop bringing stuff up now? because you are kinda making it hard for me to keep my promise, and try to be happy with rainbows and sunshine like you all wanted.
