    The expiration time of the service isn't determined by your local timezone, but by theirs, and it's UTC+8. This is also stated in the fine prints. So when you said you bought it 'yesterday', when exactly did you buy it? At what time? Which timezone?

    Moreover, there is a countdown timer on the Privilege page of a novel (The page where the purchase button is), which shows you the time left to expiration should you purchase the service at that point.

        Can you also make it so Privilege works for 30 days instead of the end of that month?

                  Bluepumpkin yes because of the reset, so the chapters you paid will be lock again but they are giving rebates with an open letter then you can claimed a certain percentage of rebates from the total you spent , am still waiting for that letter of adjustments...

                                          I have purchased privalege for 5 chapters daily but i still only getting 2 chapters per day for novel 99th divorce..... It's not the first time i am having this problem previously i faced the same problem for perfect secret love novel i bought privilege for 750 but only got 2 chapters per day..... it's a serious issue

                                            I m surprised and disappointed that I have to start all over again after paying for the privilage chapters after a month.. if thats the case I might as well just wait for the chapters update daily and spend the SS on unlocking chapters in other novels.. or even better use the SS for gifts to my fav novels..

                                            summer_breeze_ That's not how privilege works, to my knowledge. You purchase privilege to be 5 chapters ahead of the current release, not for 5 chapters daily. The author can't possibly write 5 chapters a day, that's ridiculous. He/she probably just writes 2 chapters a day and updates as such. Privilege allows you to stay 5 chapters ahead of other non-privilege readers - you just get early access to chapters, not access to 5 chapters a day.

                                            For example, 1-100 are free, 101-195 are locked under premium, and chapter 196-200 are privilege chapters. You're paying to read chapters 196-200, which those who don't have privilege don't have access to, and can only read up to chapter 195. Let's say the author releases chapters 201 and 202 today. You get to read those early and stay 5 chapters ahead of non-privilege readers, who will only get to read up to chapter 197 today. That's what privilege does.

                                                Here is a system people might actually buy into.

                                                You buy privileged, you get 5 chapters ahead reading access, but at the end of that month those 5 chapters don't poof, you stay 5 chapters ahead (all it would take is 5 extra chapters each month to stop this from being an issue)

                                                People that come in late would see the option to buy 5, 10, 15, etc chapters ahead depending on how many months those 5 chapters a month had been building up, but once they are actually caught up just the option to buy the extra 5 chapters a month would be there, but it would be a continual thing.

                                                Of course you will have to jack the price up a bit but I think people will feel better if only because they don't automatically lose the access just because they don't keep paying you, they only don't get access to the newer 5 priv chapters.

                                                Sure the aggregators would get a bit better situation from this but the people that mess with that stuff aren't going to buy priv from you anyway, and the ones that do buy will be much happier.
