I am actually done. First you remove landscape mode. I just got over it and started reading again. Now, I get fucking advertisements!? This is getting ridiculous, this used to be a good site, now it’s just stupid. I’ll just do what I used to do and read on third party sites for FREE. No costs, no advertisements. Honestly loved this site, I’ll still login everyday, and do the tasks but only because I have hope that you’ll one day fix everything. Pull your head out of your ass and stop trying to make as much money as possible without thinking about the fucking readers.

It’s one thing to make us buy chapters then try make us buy the privilege to buy the chapters early. But it’s another thing making us watch ads. I sear ages ago you could watch ads to get chapters for free. Why not add that back if you want to add ads. Forcing us is just stupid. Or come up with a few ideas that you find acceptable and ask us which one we want. I don’t know if Webnovel got a new owner or something, because ever since a while ago, everything has gone to shit.

You guys are getting overloaded with ads and i can't get any. Multiplier check in only worked once in 13 days. It says there's no ads. At this point i have given up on multiplying my check in.

Qwertg I’m not talking about multiplier check. Im talking about popup ads. Twice I had ads randomly popup while I was reading. The first time wasn’t that bad, I just had to swipe down to remove it. The second time made me wait five fucking seconds. I know that doesn’t seem long, but I received these ads quite close to each other. I didn’t bother trying to figure out how often it occurs. In my opinion if it occurs at all, it occurs too much.

I agree dropping in an ad in the page is evil. And ruins the reader's experience. Do it before, hell make the reader click the ad which makes the buy aware that it was seen. But an ad in the middle of the read. Will make readers use different platforms.

What the hell is adv popping out of nowhere. If we are supoose to look at adv we should be getting something back such as a free chap. Come on guys what is the purpose of the adv in the first place.

TomRiffle101 that's what I'm saying. You are given extra ads where they aren't giving ads on multiplier. Webnovel is scamming people to the best of their abilities.

Seken This wasn’t on a free chapter, in a free novel. What free chapter would I be getting? To some other story? They’d never agree.

Just use better ad blockers, i havent seen anything that gets past ABP+NoScript+Ublock yet on here.

sekmet022 already tried them all and its not working. I can say the more i read on app the more ads i see i am going crazy from the amount i am see its like every 2nd or 3rd chapter i read

I have argued against these since they appeared but considering how intrusive these ads are for the overall reading experience I was surprised by the lack of outcry here in the forums. It seems to me that maybe some people do not get any ads? Also what rule do they function by as some novels have them and some don't. Do the authors decide? I am mystified by the lack of any official announcement about this rather major change! 🤨

sekmet022 Ay, another fellow NoScript+uBlock user! I also use Decentraleyes on Firefox alongside the other two, helps deal with any trackers that slip through the cracks.

Hakkira maybe they only put ads on novels which have authors they don’t like. Maybe it’s a petty way of forcing people into a contract. “Sign it, or we’ll put annoying ads in your chapters”. I wouldn’t be surprised.

so far, i haven't had any pop-up ads. multiplier rewards? at most twice can i not claim them but for at least 5 days in a week, i can. i'm confused how your wn is like that ._.

TomRiffle101 at first I thought it was for fan fictions but since Don's novel has no ads I honestly have no clue how they choose who has pop up ads and who doesn't... What is clear to me now is that when you download a novel that has them enabled you are actually also downloading ads directly into you phone! 🤨

                        Hi,
I am new to this app, but what is the deal with having to unlock chapters? I mean some chapters cost 15 ss or whatever they call but it doesn’t look like you can earn them easily. Is this app more geared to making money and forcing you to buy chapters, or do the chapters eventually unlock over so many days like as in an “update?” Sorry I just want to know ahead of time so I can just go back to Mangarock and Mangazone apps that doesn’t require you buying chapters.

Kiyomi09 So you essentially want translators and writers to work for free. Okay...

Kiyomi09 The cost of unlocked/premium chapter depends on how many word it has. The lesser the words, the cheaper the cost for ss(this is for novel). As for comic, I don't know how it works but I think it depends on how many page it has for the price of ss.

And no, you can still unlock chap with free ss but author only get money from paid ss. Nothing is forcing you to buy chapter such as getting privilages. And do you know the place where you read it for 'free' is actually a pirate site? The translator and author need money to paid for their food. They don't work for free for you and everyone else.

As I said, nothing is forcing you to buy chapters. you can simply unlock it with free ss at no cost whatsoever. They only get paid from paid ss, not free ss.

Kiyomi09 This is an official publisher for translated Chinese and Korean web novels as well as original English works. Using SS here is sorta equivalent to purchasing a hard-cover book from a Barnes and Noble (I won't compare to Amazon Kindle due to pricing differences). Getting these novels on other sites is like reading your friend's overdue library book that they never intend to return because they wanted to make their own library by stealing books from a real library.
