Gibbs I don't know what make you think female with harem is slut. I think you havent read female with harem. Do you really think female with harem is like man with herem who treat women fu**ktoy and rape women. Female with harem is different from man with harem because in female with harem, female mc is stronger than ml. There aren't annoying ml who control mc and chasing and bother her. In Female with harem, it's not about mc sleeping with guys. It's about mc become getting stronger than ml. Female mc accept her love interested at end. They doesn't show kissing or hugs, unlike male mc who sleeping and rape right and left women. honesty I think you should call male with harem rapist, slutty and man whore.

          Silver12 I never said the novel wasn't fiction. All fiction whether you like it or not is a depiction of reality, when people read fantasy they are looking for something to take them out of their reality, but the only way to seamlessly build up a fantasy world is with elements that are recognizable to readers, which means there will be objects or themes described in the novel that are realistic to make the book seem surreal. a Child who has never seen a tree, never heard of a tree will never dream of a fairy tale about a forest! And likely won't even understand the story about the forest as they would have no idea what it is....

          All I am saying is that regardless of how fictional it may be the chances of a fictional character being disliked because of an unrealistic take is high especially in this situation. People have disliked novels for less, you may like it but it could still end up going horribly wrong, and if it has gone horribly wrong I'm sure no on really translates novels that don't have good success. So I hope there is someone out there to create your perfect recipe for a good novel.

              ImperfectInfinity I agree with you. Harem stories, at least reverse harems, tend to not be about relationships but rather showcasing different personality types. I find them entertaining but don't expect to get much out of them. They're more like fluff and I tend to be either taken by one type or completely unsatisfied at the end.

              If reverse harems were less judgy and uptight like the male counterparts, then that frustration would disappear but instead there's a weird drawn out choice because the female lead can never choose more than one guy. The absurd idea that you can only love one person is stuck there even though this is fiction. Whereas male harems see them feeling no qualms about choosing whatever they fancy. Ladies though are relegated to the archaic notion of monogamy because we're ladies.

              Sigh. I want to see nuances but time and again the rug is pulled out from under me to follow some stranger's ideal version of gender roles. I am just relieved to see I'm not the only one looking for reality reflected in fiction.

                        Wow... I need to tag this thread for next month... One of my side character has a reverse harem. I still don't know whether I should post that chapter, the beginning posts of this thread are a bit frightening for this Rabbink.

                        It is a common in my novel, as common as harem. As long as you have power, it doesn't matter whether you are a man or woman. You can do what you want. It considered normal there, people were free about 'sexual realtionship' while purity still used for marriage especially for main wife/main husband. So

                        However, my novel planned to be a harem. Still undecided, but at least I for the first realm, I plan to make it a harem but not harem. Gwahahahaha.
