I'm quite curious about the process of how a novel goes to 'What's next'
What is necessary?

When either an existing translator who wishes to pick up another project (on top of their current one) or a new translator joins, they have to choose a novel to translate. The translator may choose a novel they have in mind, or if they can't think of anything, they may come onto these forums to look at the novel pickup requests. If they really can't decide, Qidian will give them a list of novels that can be translated. Once the translator chooses a novel to translate, they and their editor start translating and editing chapters. Once the number of edited chapters reaches a certain number, the novel will be released into the voting pool.

EDIT: Apparently, Qidian gives their translators a list of novels to choose from. Translators aren't allowed to pick their own, random Qidian novels (Ugh... an actual translator may need to answer this...)

    As above stated, there are currently 15-20 novels WIP and more are being added, after covers and chapters are ready, they'll be added to the poll.

        Luni, For now, they're only doing Chinese novels published by Qidian, however, I believe allowing original novels are in the works.

          Luni There are plans for originals too, but with all the things going on in the background, it might a while before they're implemented.

                  don't forget the reverse harem novels. have you see that army lately? personally, i feel they're quite demanding. we should probably add a novel for them to appease their appetize
