Tomoyuki

I think, I have said it earlier also and I'll say the same again. We can't please everyone. We are not supposed to please everyone. We are not here to please everyone. Everyone has a different perspective and liking. I don't exactly remember if I have read it in the reviews or the comments in your story that a bunch of people do not like the protagonist wearing specs. I personally love people with specs. I find it really cool.

You get what I am trying to say? You can't really be giving up on your story because some people do not like it the way it is. That way, you are snatching the read from the people who are actually looking for the same stuff. You are snatching their chance of reading who are in need of it. Believe it or not, sooner or later, one always finds people, who can see the things the way one wants them to see - the story and the characters here.

LostInFictions yeah. I've done that. Gone all rock star and erased my story. That's because I was under a belief no one reads it, so I have my tanty and get away with it. Undiscoveredness does that for you.

Veronica8 I know. It's all about for how long one can manage continuing despite the low (or maybe no) response. It's hard. Especially for the beginners. I remember, when I had just ventured into writing - I needed people to respond so that I could write further. It was a desperate need, which I believe is quite natural for a lot of us thrive on the response but over the period, my perception has changed and now, it doesn't affect me the way it used to do. Gone is the silent complaining attitude and what is left is only gratitud - for everyone who invests any amount of time in my stuff.

      Have you reposted your story?

      Cheers.

LostInFictions Yep. Well one of them anyway. It's contracted here. Why? I'm still scratching my head. It didn't have readership when it's was not contracted here. But, that wasn't the reason I signed the contract anyway.

You're the same LostInFiction from WP? I've been planning to read The Golden Ribbon for a while.

Veronica8 That's right but I'll suggest you not to because I don't plan to update - not anytime soon. I feel so guilty everytime someone mentions TGR. I receive a bunch of DMs every now and then asking for the updates and I am still yet to learn the lesson - not to start multiple stories at a time. I could write them once though but then two years ago, I got diagnosed with a serious health condition that puts a lot of restrictions on my activities - especially writing. I am taking it VERY slow now. Sigh.

I suggest you to try Nynaeve's Deception though if you already haven't. That's a completed and a mind boggling piece of work.

Tomoyuki Why did you delete your story? Negative and positive reviews will keep coming because you cannot cater to everyone's requirement.

LostInFictions Thanks! I'll give that a go. I'm got free time coming up and really itching to read stories I've been want to read for a while. I like to read uninterrupted. That's hardly ever due to real life annoyances lol!

Veronica8 Do that. I am quite sure you would enjoy Deception.

I got a notification from you the other day but seems like I have lost your username now in the bunch of notifications. Is is the same as that of here? Your reading lists had some good stories I remember. I was looking forward to pick some.

Tomoyuki How did you delete your story?, so sorry about the guy though, some people just hide behind their screens and condemn what they can't do.

that.Tomoyuki Out of curiosity does that truly free you and your novel from webnovel if you choose to publish elsewhere?

Tomoyuki At this point, I'm way too curious about your story... it's a shame you deleted it two years ago :/

                        9 months later

I couldn't find a way to delete my book, but what you can do and what i did, it simply hide it.
There is an option for that when you go to look at the list of novels you've written.

Tomoyuki Wow, if I may say, that guy was being a jerk. I mean, what kind of person is he, to tell you whether or not to delete your book, when you're the author of the book?! That's just sh*tty.
And, honestly, I'm quite curious about your book, it's sad you've already deleted it.

Tomoyuki You don't want to be in a radius of 10 KM from that man... What will you do if he turns out to be your neighbour?

                            Lol..
