    DaoistImmortalDrag this site is the worst place for one to try and make a living off of writing. Any authors who write on this website are either ret*rded, for thinking they can make a decent living from writing on this site, or just doing it for fun. Webnovel doing all these updates to eliminate the free coins is not going to help the authors, it is just going to decrease the amount of people using the site, causing webnovel to fall into obscurity. You can’t change how people are, they will always be entitled and always try to find their way around paywalls and other such less than desirable issues.

      They just took even that, i can find same novels that i read online for free , and i dont need this app.
      Even better i can buy them from amazon with better features.
      I am not saying i don't want to help the writers , what i am saying is the new world work on ad's so they get there share from every user .
      Add to that they get feed back ( the writers pay to get that ) .
      So they get our time for the reading . And my time isn't free .

        Oooh~ finally figured out what this farming and points thing was about. Just looked at the rewards store. Years to get site-wide free reading is ridiculous, making it it quite hilarious. I suppose, points have become the exp gained after hitting level 5/6, just for show and bragging rights except no one else can see the number. :p

        No solution will ever satisfy reader, writer and business. However, it would’ve been more intuitive to offer fast passes or smaller rewards that are more feasible so that people feel points are somewhat usable while also not feeling as cheated.

        What abt exp? What's the use of it? Can it be converted to coin or free passes if collected to a certain amount?

          Haha so what this means is just uninstall app because no point.

            Authors should get paid yess, but the normal price for these books (thousands of chapter with crap translation) would be hundreds of dollars per book. I don’t have that kind of money.

                teehee2001 Higher levels get more power and energy stones per day so you can vote more for your favourite books and upcoming books, though in the end it's for that fancy lvl tag by your name more than anything.

                    I miss the SS.... they even upped the price for the minimum purchase on here. You use to be able to buy SS for 99 cents then there was a 1.99 rate and now the minimum for a purchase on here is 2.99. This update really sucks. Not happy with this at all, i have a friend who writes on here and she said the authors pay isnt worth much if its even anything at all. It just a good place for aspiring authors to try out their works. It may not be a good place soon though with everyone wanting to leave now. My author friend also said that WN is forcing all authors to have chapters with at least 1000 words in order to post at all. So now WN is forcing authors to work more on the books they have here, paying them nothing or damn near nothing at all, forcing all reading to purchase coins and also making the price for purchases much higher then what they were. This update sucks, ill be looking into other reading apps.

                    seansachi I don't mind buying coins, but the price scales are crazy. No offense but if you add up how much money it takes to open up most novels you could easily buy 5 times as many novels for just one novel.

                      DaoistImmortalDrag Even if you have a point, free readers don't actually read for free, the watch ads, making revenue for the site. And for watching 2 ads a day(sometimes more because it bugs) the site earns more money than from paying users because a great part of the readers use this system, and sometimes in novels that already have ads on it. Because all of the above I'm pretty sure "free" readers actually cause more revenue than paying readers.
