Is it possible to request a change of translator with a specific novel?

CKtalon The problem is, that some translators work on several novels. Even if they translate more than 20 chapters a month, if you spread them over multiple novels it still seems like nothing is really progressing. I don't wanna point out translators, but why not just focus on one and do it properly and fast instead of doin 2-3 novels half assed? Consequently the readers of all of those novels are upset with the release rate instead of a single properly released novel
Yakumo transN is a company, so they are sending different translators to work on the different novels they have. And the problem for the quality issues is precisely because they keep allocating random translators to a novel, making gross inconsistencies. Working as a team to improve release rates just doesn't work most of the time. Too many cooks spoil the broth.

CKtalon My post wan't regarding TransN, but other translators.
E.g one particular translator and his editors translate currently 2 novels, with a release rate of 4/week each. That's in total 16/month per novel, but 32 in total, so according to Qidian's mail, this would be totally fine, since >20 per month translated. Well, then add some personal problems, holidays etc and he drops to ~20 per month in total...still fine for Qidian, but divided on those 2 novels, that are only 10chapters per month, so ~2 per week, which is really not motivating for the readers. If he would concentrate on a single novel, we'd have a novel with 8/week or even with his problems ~5 per week!

CKtalon Well, then Qidian just talks big, cuz there are several novels with <20 chapters per month for a long time now. E.g. Novel Saga translates 4 or 5 novels, each with 4/week. I just checked the update rate to be sure it's not just a temporary thing. Otherworldly evil monarch got ~100 chapters in the last 6-7 months, the other novels don't look better. I actually don't mind whether it's a single translator or a group, but for novels with thousands of chapters this update rate is lousy
It's certainly possible but It's hard to look for a new translator right away unless they have a reserve.
And also, I think they're reviewing the novels right now and finding umm what do you call them... awful? translators and trying to bring them down. (I made it sound like some action movies haha)
