Hm well I still got some problem with the membership but I did got
400 coins until year 2099
100 coins until next year
310 coins until next year and that mean it's 10 coins by day
Got some problem with the price and about the 100 coins because it's said 500 coins and not 400 coins + 100 coins
I need to resend them back I forgot
Don't see any value of the points since I just want to read.

TheCaffinated I think it's because the pay-as-you-read model, though known in Asia with services like Qidian and KakaoPage, is something westerners are not used to at all.
I think you've made a good point here. It's not something familiar. Even with Kindle you're paying to read a full book. It's a new way of reading online for a lot of non-Asian markets. Definitely a step away from the ebook product.
This change is a big impact to how people enjoy online reading, here in particular. I know that Wattpad does similar. So I think there's a demand for this model in the western world.
It's quite new and bound to require tweaking to get the reader-to-pay-as-you-go balance right.
opinion for membership.
buying coins is the same as the old version in the previous year. If finish, you still need to top up again (i will not talk about free coins/ss and privilege).
with version 4.2, they want to differentiate the buyer, it up to the reader to choose either be a normal buyer or membership.
the benefit that we can see so far in term of coins:
1. normal buyer = received coins without bonus coins
2. membership = received coins with bonus coins
price? still the same as previously. (observe for 1st month)

150 coins + 15 bonus = forgot the price
500 coins + 100 bonus = usd9.99
1000 coins + 250 bonus = usd19.99 and bonus coins/ss for old version expiry 90 days.
same goes with the new version (4.2)
membership coins in 1st month either starting Dec'19 or early this month, they offer 500 coins + 310 bonus/31 days = 10 coins/day = discounts price usd7.99 (actual price is usd9.99). You get another extra 210 bonus to compare to the previous version.
yesterday I saw they offer 250 coins + 150 bonus = usd3.99 (normal price usd4.99)
from my view, its nothing different from the price. The only difference is either you become a normal buyer/membership.
if you don't like the membership, still can cancel it right.
edit: I guess, I speak to early, need to wait for the next month and see the difference again.
from what i can remember SS have at least 60 days until it expires, before all this disappointing updates
and from what i can remember the cost of chapters before is just around 12-15 ss not 15+ ss..

Privilege cost 1 coin but to unlocked those sneak peek chapters it cost like 9-8 coins. Is that normal?

Is it an original story? The privilege fees are decided by the authors themselves whereas the cost of a chapter is determined by the amount of words in that chapter.
So, an author could set the privilege fees for his/her novel to 1 coin, but he/she can't tweak the cost of the chapters.
When I claim my Fast pass it doesn't show in my account. For example if I get 6fast pass in my account I get only 3fast pass it really pissed me. N really not enjoying this fast pass. Coins were much better

1- Alterations are ok and a right that web novel has. My problem is with sudden and without explanation alterations. ex: 3 months before put a notice that there is going to have changes with details (something similar to this post is ok). You just don't surprise readers like that.
2- yes webnovel is too expensive. It is because of quality and utility. Same price you can and will buy a higher quality book. Aside from that the book physical or digital is mine. You can say that web novels products are also, however your changes and lack of notice make me not trust you so i prefer to use my money in a higher quality and safer place.
3- webnovel image is of greedy business and any change is always to worse the reader experience.
4 -i won't say how to profit or manage your business but if it not working for the customers there is something wrong.
I started using webnovel because it is official and i want to support the author editor even webnovel. However i can't thrust a company that is always changing and without explanation. Make money is right and has to be the objective. however webnovel seriously has a problem with the how.
If a great number of people believe that is expensive it is. If the cost is really that you have a problem of publicity or business model.
Please don't just ignore complaints because it is not what you want to hear.

Are you trying to be professional or you don't give a f..., because you are coming through as a patronising and unprofessional, keep yourself in check. If so many people have problem understanding new rules, ss/stars and coins and how it all works, then maybe the problem is with what you introduced and not with hundrests or tousends of users. And saying that fast pass can be just used when you want and people can read later and that it's not a REAL problem what is your advice for people like me, I read a book that uploads 2 chapters 5 times a week, I can't make an author to publish more just so I can use fast pass. So what is your solution to this???
