let the fate take care of it. the fish swam in the "Bermuda Triangle" ( which count as one of the seven miracles of the world) . 2: the bird ate the fish and travel miles. 3:country bumpkin teen went for hunt. 4:today was lucky for him and he haunted a huge bird for him and his old folks. 5:his old folks couldn't handle the hidden power and died. 6:he misunderstand his power as curse from god.
and the story goes on.

Then another question, how bad is it to use the cliché? Does the new idea seem more original and interesting? But may not be accepted by readers. But walking along the beaten track is too boring, not without reason the classics spoke through thorns to the stars!

DarkRay my bro, in life you need to be lucky also or you'll be pooman or dirtguy or something lol

Cliches are fine depending on how you use them. Mine is full of cliches, but I also make fun of them at the same time I use them.

The_Good_Devil The idea is interesting, up to 3 points. But you should not mention sacred things in the novel if you do not want to damage your karma

Allen_Clay012 Maybe the ability should be within the limits of realism - like his instinct tells him that in this place there are gold coins or that he should buy this fish and have a ring in her belly? Although this was also the case with European storytellers. It seems to be Anderson and his tales? Damn, how hard is it to come up with something new ?!

The_Good_Devil yup, indeed but it is a bit weird. No offense tho... Hehehe

Somehow if I cannot find something that is indeed original. I just manipulate facts or knowledge around me. We can make use of those cliches to make new ideas. Or should we say change some rules with regarding to some of the properties of its abilities.

              I duno...

DarkRay The main character can turn out to be some kind of asshole :) both in the direct and figurative sense of Khe-khe

Gourmet_DAO Not really sarcasm but those are really just my thoughts. Its really hard to find new ideas but I do not think it has to be weird at the same time.

It goes with the saying that "the early bird gets the worm. I wish I could just have been born earlier hahaha.

Kidding aside, those who make use of the idea worthwile will make it. I mean yeah, they had the idea before you. Sometimes remakes make better fiction out of the original. But not always.

He can also have his superpowers from birth, but they need to be awakened. (So basically, he is not human from the start, or has a special legacy)

The good points are that you don't need to explains all the why at the beginning. The bad point is that you will have at some point. That means world-building, explaining his origins, why he is special ect.. So a short-story that wouldn't be so short finally.

Gourmet_DAO Alternative name could be: Capitan Wind Breaker XD A very cool and respectable hero name I'd say. But on more of a serious note (or maybe not). It's quite unique, that superpower. Not very useful at least in most cases (useful if you want to end a date very quickly :D), but original!

Allen_Clay012 and an early bird has an early eagle ... it’s like the Russians have no method against scrap, except for another scrap.

But I explained what I mean! Yes, you're right, remakes are sometimes better than the original but not always, like the first seasons are usually better than the second and third seasons

Arkinslize But this was with Superman the story of Marvel, he is an alien, cliché.

Yes, you’re right, the creation of a new world, the most lousy thing is to describe it, from a funny story, a scientific treatise about a skky world begins to turn out. The cliché is better here, since the world is already known! Like Star Trek, the original version of 1965!
