A cursory glance at the negative reviews the author allows shows that they are pretty negative, with plenty of 2 and 2.5 star reviews.
A 1 star review should basically never happen if a reviewer is honest, especially if the author being reviewed can string a coherent sentence and update regularly. Rating 1 star if both of these things are true is juvenile. Doing it 10 more times because the author didn't appreciate having you be dishonest in your representation of their work ethic or grammar skills just kinda makes you a piece of shit.
If you gave me even a 3.5 star review after 10 one-star reviews, I'd delete it on principle because you have made it abundantly clear you have no respect for me as an author.
1 star does not mean "I really didn't like this."
It means "This person randomly updated 5 times in the last year, they don't have even a basic grasp of grammar and the book is basically unreadable, their characters are all 1-dimensional NPCs or Mary Sues, their world is derivative and riddled with clichés, and their plot reads like an autistic 12 year old picked plot points by throwing darts at a copy of Sword Art Online".
And lemme tell ya, even on WebNovel, there are not that many books that are that bad.
So, in short, review better rather than whining that an author doesn't appreciate being disrespected.
