yaoyueyi Good to know, and thanks for that. I'd still say it's not a bad idea and good to aim for it. More chaps = more $$$ and all, but yes the Guanenteed system is where I saw that number.
As I said above, you can likely maintain a reader base with 1 chapter a week, but it kay take longer to get a contract thst way.
As for why you get you get a contract it is likely the read rate. That is how many words are read each week/month. More readers or more words per week will help you there. You cant do much about readers they will come, but you may be able to increase your release rate. Edited paragraph to replace chapters with words. WN pays by word not chapter, so words per week is likely a metric used. Though readers are likely more interested in chapters per week.
