  • Why do I have so many collections and only so few views?

yaoyueyi Good to know, and thanks for that. I'd still say it's not a bad idea and good to aim for it. More chaps = more $$$ and all, but yes the Guanenteed system is where I saw that number.

As I said above, you can likely maintain a reader base with 1 chapter a week, but it kay take longer to get a contract thst way.

As for why you get you get a contract it is likely the read rate. That is how many words are read each week/month. More readers or more words per week will help you there. You cant do much about readers they will come, but you may be able to increase your release rate. Edited paragraph to replace chapters with words. WN pays by word not chapter, so words per week is likely a metric used. Though readers are likely more interested in chapters per week.

      I remember that 5 months ago I found this app and tried to create my own fiction only ended up getting 126 collections with 27k views and some are calling my protagonist no brainer or trash novel. I feel bad at that time.

      So now I only create chapter depending on my mood, hence I create this novel Woman Conquering System with 4 chapters uploaded till now(last updat 2 days ago) it had 440 collections and 53k view. Anyway, I'm really pretty discouraged to make a chapter because of the lack of English vocabulary since I'm not a native English.
      That's why I'm only updating if I like to make a chap.

          HonestReviewer how do you get so many views T.T I released now 9 chapters and have more than 60 collections and still only reached 3300 views... are the views exploding that exponentially? btw. i am ranked since today so maybe it will change something

              AI380 can I ask for your stats? release rate, total chapters views and collections... and how long do you release your work here already? I just want some others to compare to ... ;) I really don't know if what I have is good or bad...

                  MokouFriedChicken power stone ranking i am 200+ but the new novel powerstone ranking I am nr. 73 this morning. Do you think that will help me? Who of you is scrolling that far down the list to find a novel... I personally not T.T only searching for my own down there ;P

                      Regnov you too think that my collections mostly are through bots? Would be depressing if it is the truth...

                          SuperSilentSin mine is certainly not a good example, as I used a really childish stickman picture as my cover which greatly affected how much people will view the book. Also, the view count is affected by number of chapter, more chapters will have more views.

                              BTW I was in the top 5 release a month ago, and apparently, it doesn't help much.

                                Regnov ah okay. I thought it were the opposite and the bots would spam basically anything besides views... Okay now I am happy thx ;)
