I realized for so long a strange trope I do not get in isekais mainly with medieval setting animes or novels or mangas.

That problem is.. why is there an adventurers guild in every single fiction of japanise history linked to those categories. Like why? This is not a videogame unless isekai has strange system or inside a videogame.. but even the it's too overused.

Second. Why does the medieval setting look like a cross between Roman style setting with medieval one?

Streets are too clean and realistically medieval times was one of the worst times to be alive.. because they lacked hygiene and every civilisation before them were better.. if not most.

The few that avoids this are like NO GAME NO LIFE.. those are very rare to find like gems.

Another problem is in Chinise mangas of cultivators in modern world. Why is every time the rich has to be involved pit of nowhere and ridicolulously given wealth just like that after a scene of saving a rich old man or something of the sorts.. always an old man mostly or something and a daughter or grand daughter or something has to be there too.

Also they mare it dramatic such as almost all the rich guys are evil.. only few as good guys. Every time a rich guy comes there is 90% he is the arrogant master type characters.. in real life trust me. It's not.

Also.. I get cultivation is important by why not add another unique power system instead of cultivation to 'Infinite and beyond'. This would give the chinise a boost up in popularity.

Patent deaths etc... typical we all know too in almost all fiction.. in Korea it's kinda different and interesting... in my opinion, it's not a public matter.

But I still like anime and all eastern fiction anyway.. they have a special place within me.

What yoy guys think of the cause of this? And why does it happen?

Regardless... Correct me if I am wrong again.

I can tell you why, especially regarding the adventurer's guilds in Japanese stories. 1. Dungeons and Dragons is a very popular RPG in Japan, and has influenced most RPGs on consoles and PCs. 2. It's a very convenient way or system for the main character to get a job, earn money, and trade supplies (so you don't have to think too hard on how he/she survives in this new world). 3. They copy from each other.

As for the medieval setting, it's mostly because they just copy off aesthetics from each other, and they don't really conduct proper research. Not that they need to - why would readers care about historical accuracy in a fictional fantasy? As long as it serves the story, the setting can be however convenient they want it to be. Nobody wants to read about pollution or unhygienic stories. You're reading a fantasy story for entertainment here, not a history textbook. Also...everything can be explained away by magic.

I also have a few gripes about urban cultivation stories. Why the hell would you use an urban setting if you're going to have everybody commit murder blatantly in broad daylight, and not have the characters bound by the laws of modern society? I know it's fiction and fantasy, but the setting has to serve the plot, not be dismissed entirely. I'm not expecting realism or accuracy (for example, I don't need the writers to know specific legal codes), but it kind of defeats the purpose of setting the story in a modern, urban world if you are going to ignore the modern, urban laws that should come with the setting. While you probably can expect people to not know a single thing about the harsh reality of medieval history, you can't expect readers to not know that murder has been criminalized in modern, urban society...

Tomoyuki Hmm thanks for the explanation you have a point. But why not change the aesthetics and be different? This way you have a renaissance of animes and mangas Eastern fiction with new styles instead of over used stuff.

Also about the urban cultivation i like them.. but my issue is it seems too illogical.. unless their world is like that.

Also some realism has to be added to make it more vivid or logical the rest you can explain with magic or whatever it is. Like you highlited in urban settings.

I get its famous the rpg stuff

But that to be included 24/7 in isekais?.
    ...

    Generally speaking.

Pleasedeteme I mean, you should be asking the authors that. I would change the aesthetics, but nobody is gonna read my stuff.

What has to be included 24/7 in isekais? I'm not sure I understand.

Hoh hoo... I'm striving for the realistic fictional world!!!!

That's why I go to Pinterest everyday.. there are many information there....
        (「`・ω・)「

Pleasedeteme  Bruh, since you have already tagged Botto-sama, i don't need to do it. When she comes online and sees your ping, she will lock it.

If u want to read isekai novel with realism setting, u can read lord of the mysteries, it has a very detailed background and is clearly designed
