shadowdrake27 i am currently editing my 93k-ish word novel in google doc. I don't post on here, but I would appreciate some feedback on a chapter or two when you have the time. Dont sweat it though. And thx for the novel link
shadowdrake27 care to link me to your novel? That is, If you're currently writing one.
Knowing you clearly understand what you're talking about, I'll wholeheartedly give you an honest review.shadowdrake27 I was hoping someone would say something about this. Back when i used to do review swaps, this was a major problem in just about every novel i read. Seriously, English ain't my first language either, but some writing was just so bad it was like a 2nd grader wrote it. Good job on this thread, I hope others will take note of this.
Sid_Alejandro so you dont show your prices publicly? and you don't show your work for people to see if they like it or not? This is a joke right?
shadowdrake27 there needs to be more like you on this site

that is very good. There are many reviews i see on this site that are simply just a pointless 5 star with no real critique. I, by all means, am not a master writer. But seeing stories have 5 stars and a generic "wow this was great! Will definitely read more" is kind of a joke. Lots of writers also delete any reviews below a 4 star, (i wont name them, but i know quite a few guilty people). So getting reviews with critique should be taken as more of a gift, even if its not a 5 star review.edit:only if the review is actually good that is. A 1 star rating saying "dumb dumb dumb dumb" is obviously not critique.

I find details of unimportant things pointless, as you mentioned. However, a nice detail of the environment and landscape is very nice if done correctly, even if it has no purpose to the plotline.whoknowwhat wow... i just noticed that...
Tomoyuki im not angry. Its just annoying and uncomfortable to see you always post the same things. If you truly feel this way, webnovel's forum isn't the place for you to tell yourself you're a failure. Talk with your friends and family. Talk with people that are close to you. You need a mindset change, and a goal to accomplish.
Obviously, its easier said than done but constantly telling yourself about your failures is worthless. You need a positive mindset; start by complimenting your success's and throw away the failures.
Im not an expert, so its just some words of advice. Hope that helps, Good luck.Tomoyuki every post ive ever read you make is about how every single person thinks your story is trash. Seriously? I looked and you have 2M views with a 4.3/5 rating. Stop seeking attention and only posting about the negatives.
I'm not trying to be mean, but you're complaints and posts are quite pathetic, reallyBuruxXxRynna
well, since my story fits into your description perfectly, i shall leave my link here... https://www.webnovel.com/book/16968298506096705Breno_Ranyere What helped me personally was reading published books related to my genre. And reading them thoroughly, imagining scenes, and thinking back to the start of the novel, as compared to the end.
Other than that, honest feedback from readers I guess hahaBreno_Ranyere
because new writers only have ideas about different worlds and not enough actual ideas about character development. I struggled with this myself in my first ever novel, and realized my characters were as stale as leftover bread.
Character summarization is a lot more difficult than world summarization, hence why new writers are not very good at it.Well, here goes my submition
Title: Cairo
Genre: Fantasy
Synopsis:
“The secrets I’ve kept have cost me more pain than fire and lightning. I’ve told stories that woke even the mightiest of gods from their slumber. I’ve crossed paths by moonlight that most wouldn’t dare to speak of during the day. My mother passed in my arms when I was just a boy, leaving me broken, forgotten and hopeless. I was beaten, tortured, and forced to kill, all before the age of eleven. I was imprisoned in the Gulag for 5 years, and came out alive…
My name is Cairo, and all I search for is happiness.”- Edited
