lynerparel I miss WebNovel from the beginning.
Webnovel is getting rid of all r18 stuff ??
SlothRuler There's also the possibility that if it only has elements of r18 stuff, and not fully r18 it might work.
SlothRuler There were fewer rules then, well it just means webnovel is growing.
lynerparel But the question is what they will consider. For we probably have genocide, rape, ethnocide, brutality, psychopaths, international racism, mainly Japanese, in most of the translated content. They're basically saying: I can do bad things, but you can't.
SlothRuler That's the loophole people need to figure out. What makes r18 truly r18.
If they remove this content, then I agree with the contractual restriction. But being partial to the company's headquarters, qidian, and criticizing the originals is too much.
SlothRuler Well, the rules are kinda loose there. But originals are mostly from foreign writers and have a different set of rules.
lynerparel It must be remembered that they made WebNovel to enter western lands. If they put so many restrictions on writers who are used to greater freedom of expression, how did they spread a wider audience?
SlothRuler I don't really have an answer to that at this point. I guess I'll just take a wait and see attitude.
lynerparel Most of the time it doesn't work. There are valid complaints about their original content that is inappropriate and several other problems, but they simply give the reader another face.
Not true. Webnovel is moving away from contracting R18 works that focuses purely on the R18 aspects. If the R18 content is not the focal point of the story, Webnovel will still contract it. This is because Webnovel is starting to advertise books outside of Webnovel and we are unable to advertise R18 books as the content could get our IP banned.
We will NOT remove books with R18 content on our site unless it contains controversial content like underage sexual intercourse or of a political nature. So writers of wholesome R18 content can rest assured that no actions will be taken against your books of culture.
Lecherous Cultivation System had asked for a contract for the book from us a few days before, but was informed that because the book contained mainly R18 content, we are unable to contract it. We have already explained the reasoning to the author but it seems that the author was not able to understand that we will only refuse to contract the book, not remove it entirely.

Thank you for explaining. That makes a lot of sense now. I’m looking forward to seeing where will ‘outside’ of WN it will be advertised. I’m really curious
well that author had made humongous of views i’m sure he can still be successful in a patreon or something..? I mean 1.7m views in just 100 chapters. Dam. R18 novels make it big here it seems
JJeditor Thanks for the clarification
SlothRuler There are authors out there who write solely for the purpose of writing.
Thanks for the clarification. But I would like to ask you to clarify the future updates of the webnovel in the forum, since most came here through comments from the author, so further clarification would be more appropriate for both readers and content creators.
It's always r18 content. Finally you find something worth reading, censorship comes in your way.
SlothRuler You came up, stirred the discussion basing on lacking information and now demand the WN to explain their business decision here? What for? Since when do you have the right to demand them to tell you what they want and don't want to do? It's not like anything is changed for the readers.
Also, your nick is a lie. You ain't my ruler.
MotivatedSloth I legit thought that guy was you for a sec and you got a name change.
But his arguments were nothing like yours, so I doubted...
