Simple really: It would be a neat feature to create a system where the amount of likes you receive on a comment, review, or whatever else can be transformed into Exp for your account. Not only would it remove the need to “farm exp” and type “exp” as chapter comments, it’ll also naturally increase user interaction instead of the simple daily missions.

A better streamlined experience, I think.

LotsChrono But there's always the factor that most comments don't receive a lot of likes. Sure there may be some that have over 50+ likes and stuff but for those who don't, it'll be hard to advance in levels. From your point of view, I think you prioritize participation. But a system like that could also backfire. what about all those comments that already have likes? Would those count as well? If so, then how much? What if it's a really old comment but has 100+ likes?

It's a plausible exp solution but there are loopholes. If this were to be implemented, I would add in that for every like you give/review/chapter comment you get a certain amount of exp with a limited number of times it'll work each day. For example: you can only earn exp from likes 5 times a day, earn exp from reviews 3 times a day, etc. But even that could be easily abused so maybe adjusting the amount earned would fix it. Although this isn't a perfect solution either...

I think there should be a way to earn exp like the farming but for PC. Currently, farming is only on the app (so no coin/exp farming), and I understand that the developers want the app to generate some revenue and that the app is more convenient for users but I'm on PC mainly. Just a small rant but adding exp farming or something similar for PC would be awesome.

I would say the system should be implemented from this point forward, previous comments/reviews should not be counted.

As for the issue with the amount of comments that receive likes. I’m not telling them to get rid of the daily missions all together, I’m just curious if this can be implemented alongside it. As a matter of fact, gaining extra exp past a certain point becomes useless after you reach lvl 5 anyway, at that point it becomes a thing to show off with—which is okay. And it takes thousands of exp as well.

Furthermore, I believe comments that earn a lot of likes, and thus a lot of exp, deserve it. There’s nothing wrong about that in my view. I find it hard to see how it could be abused. What will they do? Create 50 accounts and like their own comments each day to get 50 exp a day? I might as well just give it to them for that dedication. Though, jokes aside, I don’t know how automated bots could factor here. The limit on the amount of exp a certain comment or review can generate might be worthwhile. Adding a maximum daily limit though, seems counter to the point of the system and dissuading.

LotsChrono To add to that, there should also be an 'Ascension' feature, similar to the ascension feature in the game Cookie Clicker. Basically, Ascension will serve as a reward or somesort. Once one reaches a certsin level, let's say Lvl 6, they will be able to 'Ascend' to a higher realm, leaving all their belongings behind —Overall level, Daily PS/PS, etc. In summary, 'Ascension' will reset everything in the user's account (except for comments, profile, etc) in exchange for something. What is that something? Fastpasses or Coins.

As for the loopholes... it is indeed hard to deal with. However, I have a solution. What if WN publishes a beta app of somesort. Think of it as like the PBE version of LoL where users could test-run the game and give their opinions about it before it goes live.

The possibilities are endless. The programmers could do whatever they want with the app without it affecting the main app. And readers could experience what the programmers changed without it being permanent. Furthermore, the programmers could also implement what the readers suggested to see if the majority of the readers like it or not. If it's the former, then they could possibly implement it to the main app as well.

Oh I love that idea. It also works well with the sheer magnitude of Cultivation light novels on here, might as well just slap it and make the ‘ascensions’ a sort of progress through the ‘realms’. Yup, it would also be good if it gave a reward of coins for reaching the maximum level and ascending—that seems like a good way to earn them aside from just inviting friends. Though I wonder how much the coins should be then, seeing as, with the system, it could still take months to reach higher levels so there would have to be a pretty good reward to effort ratio. I personally think anywhere between 50 to 100 coins could be good.

As for the beta-app idea, that seems like it could work, though I thought Webnovel already had a feature/app similar to that? No clue.
