Alright I will give one from each category.
Swords- Probably A heavy sword like Yun Che from ATG cos it makes people go splat instead of Schlick when it connects. I mean who doesn't love a blunt sword that weighs around 100 million Jin (from what I remember of Hong'er when they reach Divine realm or whatever it's called in ATG.
Polearm- Either a guandao which is basically a spear with 2 blades on the sides or a double ended spear with a 2 foot blade each end. Of course the spear will be 9 foot 9 inches so the hilt would be 5 foot 9 inches. Ohhhh and the blades are like swords so they can cut and stab.
Bow- Probably a simple longbow... Never liked Bows in Xianxia or Xuanhuan because it is never their main weapon. A strong and large now that has a string and arrows made of your energy so it can disappear would be cool. So if the enemy gets close (as they should) then you got a staff to use and jump back and launch a quick arrow to their .
Axes- biggest axe with 2 blades each end possible. Double ended and ready to rumble(literally rumble the earth when U miss).
Alright I hate fan weapons and shit cos I think they are stupid and I prefer physical combat with magic/true essence as supportive kinda role to boost said physical attacks. A good example of this is Lin Ming from Martial World but Yi Yun relies on energy cultivation system to much (to go by MW cultivation)
Scythes- yes i a section specifically for this Grimm weapon (hahaha puns are fun). I have 2 I would luv to see.
1. Dual blade scythe with blades on opposite ends and sides. So using an example

That kinda thing can change like that too.
Other one is a scythe design I have only see once.
Double headed scythe... With chains.
Yes I mean you can swing it and if someone jumps back you can release one of the scythe heads and a magic chain connects it to the staffart. You can also extend and retract the chain at will. This is so you can prevent scythe getting stuck in ground when you spin vertically to intimidate arrogant "geniuses"
And that's it for my suggestions. You may notice that most of these require a lot of skill to use and that's the whole point. In Wuxia such skill is present but I prefer more cultivation type novels but want weapons which actually take real skill to use, not like Lin Ming's bone refinement stage "iron bridge crossing river" stab that can completely annihilate a massive blood attackthe enemy does that is 33 than the enemy's first attack. Sure Ling Ming is better now but still never relies on his physical "skill". Relies on his Essemce(body) cultivation for physical STRENGTH, but no skill.
