I have been part of this platform and the writing community for roughly three years now while on occasion taking a hiatus or two for several months. Through this platform, I have been able to grow by quite a bit as an author and have even been able to assist other authors on their journeys.

However, I will no longer be part of the platform as an original author and will no longer be in any of the communities associated with the platform.

I am very disappointed in what both the author community and general community of the platform has become. There have always been instances where I did not agree with the platform whether due to the voting/review system, the bad (and not so bad) contract offers which you are NOT able to negotiate, or even being in WPCs where politics played a big role.

The final straw for me, was that my book the Unrivaled Creator which I was averaging 50 chapters per week on (for free and did it for the love of the craft) did not retain a gold place because many authors in the community went out of their way to reach out to many of this platform's staff because of some exchanges I had literally 6+ months ago. Not only did I have 3x the views, but also 3x the collections compared to my competitors.

I want to thank everyone who had made being on this platform a good experience, but at this point, I am completely done. And unfortunately, it is due to the actions of others that I feel I no longer have a place on this platform to share my writing or to help others. I did not fail WN, WN failed me.

You made an account in Jan 2020, I checked, anyone can check. I'm not saying you couldn't be here as a ghost, but surely you didn't write here for "roughly 3 years", more like 5-6 months. Kinda smells like some sort of propaganda or something. Not saying your points ain't valid, just smell a whiff of bullshit about this.

Besides, writing that large statement just to leave, and on the forum, where readers don't usually appear en masse. Posting a "chapter" with such explanation would work much better for your readers. Just saying. Oh, but you ain't gonna reply, right?

Didn't take a long time. What's this, your third time pouting that your botted novels are not doing great after all, blaming everyone else and then leaving? I remember you did it last time, went for wn, made less than 10% of MGS with three novels combined and came back recently like whinning dog. Topkek

It is a fact of life that some would feel used or abused or neglected. Let's just give this author a great "Thank You" for sharing his/her talent in this group. I do hope you will find your true happiness in the future.
Come to think of it... There are novels I have started reading, voting and following but for quite a long period of time have no updates. Maybe this is also happening with these authors. Hmm.
