Views don’t mean much cause you can get some just from a person clicking onto the story. Valid views is what matters and tell you how many people is actually reading your story. To check valid views go to inkstone or if on mobile, click your story and then click the chart looking symbol and it will take you to your stats.
Candycuteboss Like RJMidnight said, views don't mean much. What you should look out for is the number of your collections. As for the 'stars', I don't really know what you're talking about, so I'll just assume you're talking about your novel's ratings. In order to obtain a rating for your novel, it needs to have, at minimum, ten reviews.
If my “stars” you mean “follows,” then that means that no one put your book in their library yet. You can try something like review swaps or the shameless promotion thread to get your stories more readers.
I don’t think you have any incorrect settings. A quick glance at your story tells me it’s written in a strange format though. It’s written like a screen play. In my opinion, that makes for a less fun read in this format. You can do what you want, but consider changing to more of a novel format.
Examples:
Conversation should be done with speech tags and quotation marks, rather than having a name of the left and a dash.
Johnny- Hi, Mary.
Mary- Hello, John.
Turns into
Johnny said, “Hi, Mary.”
“Hello, John,” Mary replied.
It’s also strange to announce things like, “start of flashback” and “end of flashback”. It’s more common to say something like, “Johnny remembered when this happened before: it was a cold night...” and “Johnny snapped back to reality.” That is, if you really need to mark the beginning and end of your flashback with words. It’s about making an immersive story that doesn’t call attention to the literary devices you are using.
Hope this helps.
