What is TGIF?

TGIF is an event that will happen on Webnovel.com periodically. Obviously, TGIF will be hosted on Fridays and the event details will be totally unpredictable, even for Webnovel employees. It could be a promotional event, a mass release, or the release of a new series. Anything is possible! The one thing our fellow Daoists need to know is that TGIF is fun and beneficial for all readers. Don’t predict what will happen next week because you won’t know it! Just ENJOY THE FRIDAY!

Hey fellow Daoists, TGIF #5 is coming up! Guess what kind of benefits we will bring to you this week? You are right, it's a mass release! In TGIF #5, we will focus on some new series that were introduced last week and hope you guys will enjoy all of them.

Why would we choose these new series instead of Premium titles?

It's quite simple. Firstly, we would love to give new series more exposure and to help these new translators grow better and faster. Secondly, some of the top Premium titles have longer chapters which usually cost more. We are actually planning to build a discount system to fix the existing issues. The completion of this development is quite a challenging one as we still have a lot of work to focus on, such as providing you guys manhua (comic) systems, optimizing the library pages, and the release of some potential English original novels through the introduction of the writing platform - Inkstone to the public. We will try our best to introduce the discount system by May, hopefully.

Anyway, that was an aside, so let's return to the TGIF party. Please enjoy the mass release and we hope all of you will have a wonderful weekend.

    i'm gonna totally try to predict what'll happen next friday because they said not to. so i predict one online cookie :cookie: that next friday, qi will release more premium titles and then there'll be people who will hate the idea 'cuz they feel cheated. and then there'll be qi defender who tried to fight off the hate.

          La1sher it's okay you don't have spirit stones. you can wait for more, but just because some people don't have enough spirit stones shouldn't hinder the mass release because there are people out there who have the spirit stones to read the chapter. and they shouldn't have to wait for Everyone to have the spirit stones because then the chapters will never be released.
          so i say, if a translator finished translating the chapters, just release them. there's no need to stockpile. or i mean, stockpile like 10-20 chapters or so but don't stockpile like 50+ chapters because that make no sense.

                  About that writing platform, I like the idea of the release of English original novels. It would be interesting see what novels came from that.

                  About english writers, I want to do a suggestion. I Would like to see section for fanfictions of the novels of this sites. I think that right now there isn't a site of fanfiction of novels of this site.

                  And it would be a shame that when the novel of this site get more popular, sites like fanfiction.net be the first to have a section for that :tongue:

                  I know that right now doing what I said is a cost that doesn't pay much. There are a lot of things more importants, just like the ones you said.

                  But in a future it would make sense. When more novels are totally translated, is a way to keep people interesed, and even get more readers. It could make the community of this site more active, and that would, hopefully, get more income for you.

                  What everyone else think? Would you like a section of fanfictions of the novels of this site? Would you read and/or write fanfictions?

                    Fourclovers Not saying every TGIF is mass releasing of Premium titles 😂. Please give the new series a try😏. Frankly, I won't say every new series will suit your taste, but you can see that we are trying to introduce fresher genres such as Sports-related stories.

                        Unfortunately for me there hasn't been a single new title released in weeks that I have been interested in. As for the new choices we have, for this reader, they are horrendous. Hoping something I will enjoy will pop up soon. SMH

                          WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL I suggest you put up a dedicated space for premium novels. And please make the mass (or at least more than regular) release consistent. Because you shorten the expiration of SS, mine will just expire because I am only reading one premium novel. I was watching ads before to at least pay back as free reader, but can't even do it right now because lots of my SS would just expire, might as well use them. I am reading RTW so its not as consuming as other premium novels because its shorter, so was expecting for more releases. Oh well. Thanks for the hard work.
